This is great, unfortunately we have no butchers any more here in Germany to provide you with the good meat. It´s all up to the big disgusting "meat industry" right now.

I was in Germany recently and was shocked at how bad the food scene was. The best food I found was at Dortmund central market where they had an amazing butchers. I don't know if these are found all across Germany: but the best meat I found at an actual fixed location shop was at SuperBioMarkt - have a look and see if there's one near you? They only sell German meat which is reared by small holdings and good quality farms.

Welcome in EU. I’m from Poland and apparently you can’t raise your own pigs anymore, even for your own usage. I was told this by my friend who’s father is a farmer. I was completely shocked hearing this, and I don’t know what is the reason behind etc.
