Still so satisfying how the area around the digging machine dries out when you pull it out

amazing video man loved to see your process and the whole adventure of getting these clams! this brought back memories of here in new zealand growing up catching pipi and cooking them over an open fire while camping. earned a sub for being so engaging and informative 🎉🎉

After experiences of digging many hundreds of razors in Alaska; 60 daily limit years ago. Maybe if you were nearer the low tide line you wouldn't have to dig so deep. Never used a pipe. Just a clam shovel that was used to scrape the sand away in the beach side of a dimple until you saw/felt a digger/foot. There were so many dimples, so close you could just set up and dig without moving much between clams. Digging tubes probably crack many shells. Slow shovel water side raking; NO cracked shells. Your cleaning was on spot. BUT why mix the super tender foot/diggers with the tough chowder stuff. Batter fry the digger/feet. Chowder the rest. Both can be frozen without any ill effects.
