How To Cook Sinigang Sa Miso Na Maya- Maya

Sinigang is a Filipino soup or stew characterized by its sour and savoury taste most often associated with tamarind (Filipino: sampalok). It is one of the more popular dishes in Filipino cuisine.
Sinigang means "stewed [dish]", it is a nominalized form of the Tagalog verb sigang, "to stew". While present nationwide, sinigang is seen to be culturally Tagalog in origin, thus the similar sour stews and soups found in the Visayas and Mindanao (like linarang) are regarded as different dishes and differ in the ingredients used. Fish sauce is a common condiment for the stew. The Malaysian dish singgang is derived from sinigang.

Here's My Ingredients For "Sinigang Sa Miso Na Maya- Maya"
INGREDIENTS:
Fish Maya- Maya
Siling Haba
Kamatis
Pechay
Sinigang Mix (Sinigang Sa Gabi)
Onion
Garlic
Black Pepper Powder
Annato Powder
Pinaghugasan Ng Sinaing
Seasoning Mix
PROCEDURE:
*Season fish on both sides to taste.
*Just simply put oil in a preheated pan
*Fry each side of the fish until golden brown
*Once the fish is already cook, remove it from frying and set aside
*Put a small amount of oil into a preheated pot
*Saute the following:
-Onion
-Ginger
-Black pepper powder
-Diced tomato
*Add the fried maya- maya fish
*Add also the rice slops or pinaghugasang tubig ng sinaing
(this will serve as our soup)
*Cover it to boil (High Heat)
*When it gets boil, immediately add 1/2TBSP of deluted annato powder
*Also add 66Grams of sinigang mix (Sinigang Sa Gabi)
*Add Siling Haba
*Stir and cover up to 1 minute in a medium heat
*After 1 minute, open it and add our sliced tomato
*Add snow cabbage or pechay cover it and turn off the heat
*Serve and enjoy!
