Watch us cook 27 racks of St. Louis ribs on a Meadow Creek PR60T Pig Roaster using the optional rib rack. The ribs turned out excellent-irresistibly smoky, tender, and savory.

As a Meadow Creek PR42 owner l can attest to the quality of this equipment. Easiest smoker ever to operate. Makes me look like a seasoned pitmaster.

scriptureman123 how do add coals if fire is burning out? You’d have to remove all the food and take off the grill and the flare up metal to add fuel? Can you use wood or strictly charcoal?
@Seldomseen77

@@bobbyv482 I have a charcoal chimney and for long cooks I can just pull the charcoal pullout a little over half way out shovel some spent coals out and add the ones I started in the chimney! Push it back in and not miss a beat..

I take a normal size hickory log I use in my stick burner split it one time and put it in the charcoal pullout first, and then I put the coals on top of the wood!

For the smoker add the charcoal then wood chunks for smoke. Also can we smoke over the coals to get that taste of the juice hitting the coals

It's designed to cook with the drip pan in place, but you might be able to use it with the drip pan removed if you are cooking small pieces of meat. However, it would potentially cause a grease fire and also the heat would be cooking with direct heat.

If a person were to add wood to this, how does the smoking aspect compare to an offset? I've cooked on an open pit, an you can get some good smoke, but I'd love to try ribs and brisket off this. I actually deliver to a company right behind you guys too. Alouette cheese

You can certainly use wood splits with the charcoal and our PR series roasters are excellent for ribs and brisket. I know people who prefer these over an offset for things like briskets, pork butts, and other low and slow cuts. You can add enough fuel for the entire cook and when you supplement with wood, you're going to get that nice wood-fired smoke flavor.

Is that a single rib rack accessory or are you using more than one rib rack in this video. Also, how many ribs does a rib rack for a TS120 hold?

Where can I purchase a rib rack same as that , that will fit my Meadow Creek 144
@meadowcreekwelding

We don't make a rib rack for the chicken cookers, but if you are smoking ribs on a chicken cooker and want to cook them on edge, you can use any of our rib racks that fit or simply cut a longer one to length with a hacksaw, depending on how you want to arrange them. Please reach out to your dealer to purchase a rib rack.

@@rgparkos The optional charcoal pullout is a "drawer" that slides out the end for tending the fire, but it's designed to hold enough fuel to last for most cooks.
