Hi loves! Todays video is all about correcting & concealing acne. A lot of people come to the assumption you need tonnes of foundation to cover acne, but in truth it's all about colour correcting it! Hope you guys enjoyed, let me know what you though in the comments!

***** but it's harder to cover up thin hair. Looking good is easy if you play up your hair and do your makeup but i only have a few styles to do... maybe you should go check with a doctor. It is probably hormonal. Most of the acne is almost always hormonal & it is easy to fix with couple of medications and maybe a different diet with some of the foods taken out

as someone with acne i just want to say the model in this video is such a strong individual for agreeing to film this with you! i've had acne like that, nowadays it's better but i still have atleast a few pimples every day and it gets worse before+during my period. acne is such a confidence killer and it gives me hope that more people are sharing their bare faces so young people won't hate themselves for something that they can't change. THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO!

its difficult to wake up every day watching your face full of acne, it makes me feel insecure at the beggining, but im trying every day to understand that there wil be good and also bad days with my face. inflamatory acne have this big issue: make your face looks so red; so is difficult to face other people with your face like that. One big thing i wanna say is that a person that has acne usually heard comments like: do you wash your face? have you seen a dermatologist? did you try "x" product? I mean, they dont wanna hurt you with those comments, but for me is so frustrating because in a lot of cases we are seeing a dermatologist and we are under treatment, but it doesnt work out so quickly or just simply you eat something or expose your face to much sunlight or did something that makes it a lot noticeable than before.... What I wanna say is that acne is a difficult problem to treat, and it affects you more than the people seems to understand. And because of that we try things like covering it up, and when we do that we feel a lot better, our face look "healthy" under those layers and we feel more secure... but then comes the mean comments: oh look, how much makeup she is wearing, i dont want to imagine her face without it, or what for me is the worst thing: the silence and the glances. You know that they are looking to you... And it let you down. Acne is a very hard and difficult skin problem that needs to stop being bullyied for. So because all of that, im happy with the result of this girl, and she seems happy too. all we need is more comprehension and less negative attitudes towards someone that just already feels insecure about their skin condition

ale, green tea and tea tree oil face products is very, veryy good for your skin type. also check your hormonal balance I mean testosterone level in blood with your doctor not dermatologist so it will help you to prevent and heal acne(acne is caused by testosterone hormone rising). if you're girl eat soy, flex seed, sesame seed(1 teaspoon a day) which has phytoestrogens and helps to rise estrogen and decrease testosterone and that way it'll heal acne, so keep going

Guarantee that atleast 80% of the people commenting that it's "too much" or that "it doesn't look good in person" don't have severe acne or probably don't even have mild acne so your recommendations are not helpful. Obviously you can't hide bumps, but you can smooth them and hide redness. She knows she doesn't HAVE to hide it, but she might WANT to. I know I do. This is meant be to a helpful videos for those of us with acne and who want coverage. Obviously, you don't have to do your makeup like this at all.

The comment section is horrible, I personally find it truly amazing what you did. You have a wonderful talent and people are so quick to judge if someone wears "too much" or not. This is what she (the model) likes, that's HER face. You don't have to do what she does but respect what she likes, and also, respect the artist. Almost every comment on this video is RUDE. The only reason I went down to the comments was solely because I thought people would praise the makeup artist for her work, only to find negativity. If you don't like the makeup, DON'T WEAR YOURS LIKE THAT. Simple.

You're supposed to contour with a contour powder. Bronzer is not meant for contouring same as blush is not meant for contouring. However, you can technically use any cool toned purple-grey-brown shade for contouring, even if its an eyeshadow or a deep setting powder. The point is to get the shade right, it doesnt matter what the product was originally meant for. It has to look like a natural shadow on your face, and shadows arent orangey.

I don't have acne but because my skin is so naturally light (beauty experts have called it "natural porcelain" many times) pimples or any other kind of blemish stands out really red & noticeable. It drives me crazy, as u could probably imagine. I'm still fairly new to a lot of the correcting & concealing tricks, but this clip really keeps things as simple & easy as can be & I really appreciate it, along with the tips! Nothing complicated or time-consuming or fancy about it...just right for my taste! Most of the other clips I've watched were way passed my "willing-to-go-through" limit. Thanks!

First mistake you can aska good doctor: don't use brushes to apply creamy products on a acne prone, sensitive skin. The movment of blending and spreading the product do 2 horrible things on that kind of skin: it stimulates more oil production and it peels off the skin because the bristles exfoliate the surface of the skin, no matter how soft they are. What you want to do is to use clean hands - use a dishwasher neutral detergent (it cleans and eliminates bacteria) for that - you mush wash your hands before each product you put on with hands - and pat the makeup - no spread! - do not massage the face at all! - pat the makeup onto the skin. Use a disposable moisture sponge to blend. Another tip is let the skin react to the cream products applied - like primer and foundation - before you put powder to set. And, before setting, get a blot paper and press onto the problem areas of the skin to remove any oil/sebum/excess of creamy products you have on. Trust me, not only your acne will get better, your pores won't get more clogged, but makeup will look less cakey and will last much more.

Beautifully done. I don't have acne, but I do makeup for weddings and photo shoots and such, and watching this gave me some pointers. As for some people saying that it would look cakey in person, if you blend well and use a good pore filler, as well as a good primer, and blend well it doesn't look cakey at all.

I loved this video and I'm subscribed now!... BUT just a really important tip, even though she's your friend from highschool, you really shouldn't be sharing applicators like that, I'm a biotechnology student and we were just studying a real case that happened couple years ago: 2 girls shared makeup and one of the girls had acne which contains the staphylococcus bacteria, this particular bacteria is like SOOO DANGEROUS!, long story short the girl with no acne that used the brushes of her friend got infected with the coco and now she's in a wheelchair and will never be able to walk again, and yes it was just that one time that they shared makeup!. Please be so so careful!

I think it's because her friend has post inflammatory hyperpigmentation rather than any active acne that would give texture to the skin. Which is great as it means her acne treatment seems to be working effectively!

Do me next please. She is such a beautiful girl to begin with but as a girl who also struggles with acne you tend to not feel your best with a bare face. She lit up when her makeup was done and you could just tell her confidence skyrocketed that's one thing I do love about makeup even though I don't wear it often because I don't like how it feels. But she looks beautiful either way but with the makeup you could tell she loved how she looked👍🏻👍🏻

I have acne and one thing I avoid is to powder my entire face; i only powder my T-zone as you end up looking cakey even with a translucent powder. Also one thing I do is use a BB cream for a foundation then conceal (using a concealer with high coverage) and blend out with a beauty blender for as long as i can and then though sounds odd I use my hair dryer on the highest heat to warm up the liquids I have put on my face and blend with a beauty blender again and my makeup always looks natural and skin like.

so i was wondering if someone would help me. so basically I'm 14 and recently I've been breaking out really bad around my mouth and occasional spots on my forehead... honestly the red pimples don't really bother me because i can cover them up with a good foundation and concealer... what bothers me is THE TEXTURE i have these little bumps all over my face!!!! and i don't know how to get rid of them!!! its hard to wear foundation bc it seriously accentuates all of the little bumps! what sucks is i can't wear foundation and concealer to cover up the red bumps because it makes the little bumps WORSE!! I've tried everything and nothings seems to work??? i just recently started proactive teen + and I'm praying that works! so can someone help me on the little bumps?

Kasidy Jones water water water, you may have a poor diet. everyone wants to know what to do to help their skin, what products to use, but at the end of the day the best thing to do is eat healthy! Also, a cinnamon + nutmeg + honey facemask is amazing for brightening, cleaning, and clearing your face. 2 tbsp of honey, 1tsp of cinnamon + 1 tsp of nutmeg, mix and apply all over, I wear mine for 20 min. Rinse with water!

Kasidy Jones you are in the peak of puberty so it's going to be tough but make sure you are not picking at your face and get a good exfoliating wash 2 times a week, and it should help clear it a bit!

Kasidy Jones I would suggest witch hazel. I've been using it for years and it has gotten ride of tiny bumps ive had on my face.

Be gentle to your skin. Don't pick on your face. Exfoliate your skin. The little bumps all over your skin is because of dirt, oil, and dead skin cells. I wouldn't suggest exfoliating face wash. They will aggravate your skin and worsen your acne. Go for an AHA lotion or a natural method is using organic apple cider vinegar daily and evening as a toner. Dilute it with bottle water half and half into an empty bottle. Apple cider vinegar put back the pH level to your skin. Your skin is naturally acidic (low pH). Face wash are alkaline (high pH) because of this it causes the pH level of your skin to increase which leads to breakouts. Your skin is in shock. Apple cider vinegar is also a natural exfoliater. I used to have severe cystic acne for 11 years. These methods helped me our a alot.

Camille Miller yeah she should try these two combinations to help her. I only wear lipstick everyday. I couldn't imagine wearing a full face make up everyday. I would be late everyday lol. I've been lucky that I only have to use a bit of foundation here and there when I want. Anyways, this is remarkable change. Good for her

Acne doesn't necessarily mean sensitive skin. My acne was identical to the model but my skin is not sensitive. Acne prone and sensitive are different, although lots of people have both! Also the camera makes makeup application seem rougher than it actually is, as is the case with all tutorials.
