How to Correct

One of my viewers cannot figure out why he is receiving the #N/A Error Message for his VLOOKUP() Function results. He is an experienced Excel user and has set up the VLOOKUP Function correctly.
Why the #N/A error messages?
As I suspected, the "table Array" - which is the information that was downloaded from his company's Main Frame Computer has set each Data Field as Fixed Width.
During this tutorial, I use the LEN() and the TRIM() Functions to diagnose and then correct the problem.

Tried the same. But still no use from i am not able to solve the issue. When i used =LEN() both the columns is showing same same digits as 10 . Even though it is showing 10 i have done the TRIM for both columns but no use. please try to solve my issue. i am using MS Excel 2007

Re: TRIM() Function combined with VLOOKUP(). - Personally, I would perform trim as a separate operation. Do this prior to using VLOOKUP(). Danny Rocks The COmpany Rocks
