How to correctly use hidusbf to overclock your mouse/controller

This is why you can only underclock or downclock your usb devices. Follow this tutorial if you want to succesfully overclock your usb devices. Note: you have to use Test mode if you're on windows 8+

Nearly bricked my PC using this. It was very useful, but here's the mistake I did that almost bricked my computer. I would like someone to help me fix this. I play osu! a lot. Having Test mode on disables bancho (score submission). I turned it off without giving it another thought, and all of my devices stopped working. My keyboard, mouse, and tablet. I had to plug in an old MSI mouse and an old office keyboard just to *log in and revert my settings back to default* As I said in the beginning part of this, I think this tool is very useful and I liked it for the 2 minutes that it worked for me. And I would love to be able use this without having test mode on. If anybody has a fix, please let me know!

Create a restore point before trying any of this, the trick is to add whql settings in reg editor and change the bin value(32) to 1 and installing hidusbffn and copying the test values to the original values. In some cases,disabling core isolation solves the problem all together. Disabling secure boot is not the solution as you'll get locked out of half the programs that you're actually doing the overclock for. You need to know what you're actually doing when trying to do this or things can get really bad. If it says security problems in any case such as error 577,you again have to turn microsoft defender off and disable a few antivirus settings through reg edit. (Again,do these things considering the risk factor in mind,hope this helps)

@@do0m_nametaken All the antivirus settings inside Windows reg session,by default the values will be 1, turning it to 0 will turn off the antivirus options and most people will be needing secure boot for most games,so we have to change a few values in the reg edit itself to match the result somehow.

i did this and it bricked my mouse in 2 usb ports . now those 2 usb ports dont work at all. ive tried unistalling the mouse devices in device manager but no help. only thing that works is just one usb port left that works for my mouse.

Great video & all, made my hidusbf program work, HOWEVER, having "bcdedit /set testsigning" on, makes so that you can't run easyanticheat, but setting it to off makes easyanticheat work, but not hidusbf. How do i solve this? If i put testsigning to off, the hidusbf filter can't run so my controller within the program turns red.

Sadly, I dont think there is actually a fix for this, I play both Valo/CS(faceit) and SSBM, so ideally I'd want my controller on 1000hz and also be able to run anticheat, seems impossible right now. Did you ever find a fix for this?

Dude can you please make a video for his instructions for uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling? There is a major permanent glitch if you use 8k polling and filter on device and use steam input , it will forever be “off” not 1 to 1 always be delayed but still also feel 8k polling but not 1 to 1 this only happens if you use mouse input gyro in steam and use filter on device at 8k polling and steam input . I’m guessing it’s layering drivers simultaneously and not just one any more

Yo man I did all the steps and yes your right the software works but when you use the cmd commands it disables the Anticheat for Fortnite and other games so when you go to enable those cmd commands again hidusbf stops working again is there a way to actually make it work so I can start games and use it ?

When that happens i get a colossal effect and all my usb devices start interrupting each other and start generating static.

I used this app to overclock a xbox controller on my 3.0 usb and now my two usb 2.0 on board are getting voltage surge when i conect anything. When i connect mouse or keyboard for exemple, it freezes the perifect usage on system, and they didnt comeback to work even if i change to another usb, only if i reset windows. Hello can you help me. I was trying to install hidusbf and now my mouse does not work because I am getting error that driver signatures are not verified. So mouse stops working. And now my keyboard has also stopped working somehow. So now I'm stuck with windows without mouse and keyboard. No new USB ports or New keyboards/mouses are working. I have tried "Disable driver signature enforcement" but now that does not work too after my keyboard stopped. Safe mode does not work. I cannot get into recovery environment. Please help.

Try to plug in a new mouse or a new keyboard and then you can uninstall the configuration by uninstalling the drivers from the device manager. You can also right click the configuration file and talked about in the video, the one that ends with u.inf and click install to uninstall the configuration
