man i cant wait to play again. counting actually is natural to me. mabe 1 of these days i can find a group or sumthin. i know that continuous shufflers are bad but i bought in wit $20 in a few hours i made 3k. im not gona lie i have lost alot but thier are times u can catch a loos shoe when the dealer is busting n not makin hands. i should have went to the high roller tables but i was scared of loosn.

Dont forget to tell people they will lose alot counting cards. Especially with such a small advantage on favorable hands. This requires a bankroll, lots of hours of play, losing streaks and travel time especially after your banned from casinos.

12:55 I would argue if the true count is anywhere over 3, your chance of winning the hand goes up from 45%-55% (depending on rules, decks, and knowledge of basic/index strategy/illustrious 18) to as high as 66%-75% (again depending on rules, decks, basic/index strategy/illustrious 18). Anyone who knows basic strategy, index strategy, AND illustrious 18 (I have only completely memorized basic strategy) should be able to win at least half the time no matter what the count is. I've hit so many 12-13s against 5 when the count sucked and it usually resulted in a nice 20 or 21. Then the dealer would make a 19. Table got wiped, I survived.

even in positive count your are not favored to win, the edge comes from splits, double down, insurance, and blackjacks. the winning percentage is still less than 50% in high counts

Before you people run down to the casino trying to count cards, you should know you quko run into lossing streaks sooner or later so you better have some cash put up to cover your lossing sessions and if you dont know the different variations and you are not perfect and counting and basic strategy and If you dont have time to play for hours my advise is dont waste your time

The true count can get as high as +20 and the advantage switches to the player at a true count of 1-2 depending on rules and number of decks

I went last night to a casino and made out pretty well cashed out +$850 for 4 hours of playing, but my question is would it be uncommon to play for that long and not get a hot shoe it one with a high count? I never got anything higher then a +4 but on the flip side I used the negative count shoes in my advantage by hitting more bust common hands like 12-16 with good outcome on a negative count shoe. So question is was that luck or another way to play that count. Also kept bets relatively low on those shoes.

Jacob Blake it's a little unusual to see 4 hours of negative or only slightly positive counts but keep in mind zero is the mean. You did the right thing in the negative counts mathematically but if you would have suddenly gotten a monster high count and drastically changed how you play those hands not to mention much larger bets, you might meet the casino manager and then the door.

DarkStar Blackjack I agree and I played it mostly subtle because I’m just now entering the world of counting. I’ve so far been pretty successful in blackjack and really enjoy it. But most of the night was negative to 0 count but also the shoes favored the players mostly. Was an overall great night but my counting definitely helped my play.

What you did was what is called index strategy. And yes, index strategy does say that on high negative counts, a stiff hand hits against 4-6. I have done that as well. I have even seen people DOUBLE it. But that's probably cuz they were shuffle tracking. I wonder if Dark Star covers that.

You did not devise the method of counting Aces with $1 chips either. That trick has been used for at least 25 years or so. That's how long that I've been playing and I've seen it done thousands of times. It's great that you are wanting to help people,but lying about that you came up with the method simply isn't true. Also, if you have been playing for a while,then you would already know to count the burn card as a negative-1 in a 6/8 shoe. Counting 1 or 2 decks are for beginners. Maybe you are a beginner, I don't know. Anyway, thumbs down for telling a lie.

Lying implies intent. It's possible someone else used that method for counting Aces but I never heard of it, except for people who use chips to count every single Ace. I use one chip for every 4 Aces. Maybe someone else does that too. If they wrote about it, please let me know where it was published. Thanks for watching.

In my experience people who claim to be rich generally are not or not to the extent they claim. So I will never say that I am rich. What I will say is that I can pay all my bills and have money left over. I don't live paycheck to paycheck because I do not have a paycheck. It's more about not having a boss than about getting rich.
