Hey, i wanted your feedback on a thought i had. Possible fix to discourage 3rd partying from being the optimal strategy. 1- Bring back the penalty on team wipe at 10 -15%. 2- Make stealing a cashout give 10% of the value. What if every steal of a cashbox provided 10% of the cash to the team who stole it. Therefore, the box loses value every time it's stolen and discourages the constant fighting over a single cashout. This wouldn't completely remove the 3rd partying strategy but would make it less desirable. The 15% penalty on team wipe would not be so punishing that winning teams would feel the need to run with the cashout at the end of a game and not play the game. At the same time, a penalty would also discourage the #1 team from just joining the last fight with no risk of being disqualified. What do you think?

the 15% loss on team wipe seems reasonable, but I think that to really solve 3rd parties they need to instead fix spawns. As it stands right now many players simply just go for the closest cash box or the vault with the least progress; the first of those being a spawning issue and the second simply being poor pacing (light gateway helps to counter this). I think they should fix spawns before they do any drastic changes IMO

There’s a lot that isn’t working fundamentally right now, plus add a bunch of technical issue that get severely in the way. Just last night I was playing quick cash and was on a 1 v 2 with another team, I got the first guy, then put the last light into like 5 hp, and for what ever reason, my character switched to their defib even thought I clearly didn’t open my gadget wheel. I lost the fight because it gave them a split second to get me. Also I’m having a lot of trouble with hit registration. I don’t have the best quality internet but some of the friends I play with do and they have been experiencing the same thing. Anyway, hope they make the proper adjustments come next season. Can’t stand how far spawns are from cash out in world tour at the moment

Remember the fact that this ONLY works on high level games. Most lights will just charge to the enemy and get insta wiped in a 1v3. In behalf of all of my brothers, i'm sorry.

could have mentioned about instant kills... red barrels, sledgehammer (right click or left click + quick melee), well thrown Frag grenades, etc.... Could also mention how most good lights always play at a distance. You slightly referenced this as they "find your disadvantage" and that "shotguns are better against lights". they thrive at distances that mediums and heavies don't have (lh1, bow, sr84, v95, grapple, various tossable nades, thermal bore). In general, the best way to fight them is to just get close. sidenote, good melee lights are scary. you almost can't shoot them and you die really fast from them.

Its worth noting that none of the shotguns deal extra damage on headshots, even the slugger, so aim for center mass as it is a larger hitbox

Personally I like the revolver better, might be a high skill cap with that one and takes a lot of setting up so you can actually pop off with it. In my case I run it with a turret, some glitch mines, defib (of course) and either an explosive mine or some other mobility gadget (usually the jump pad so I could block some vents as well). I simply choose the revolver because I like the feeling of absolutely making the lights run away in fear as they hear the BANG BANG BANG of the revolver as their fellow lights get 1 tapped from far far away, and the turret as well because why would they go for it when there are 3-4 people in site (counting the turret ofc) that can murder you the moment they hear you breathing.

I find having my back protected effective against light. Position yourself in a way that a light can't get to your back, or at least they'll only can engage you from the front, so their element of surprise are nullified to a certain degree. Easier to be said than to be done but all you need to do is to be mindful of what you're doing and reduce pointless movement. Its exactly as you said, just remove the advantage of lights in the first place.

I just slap them through their screen LOL Light is pretty cool. I've been playing for about 300 hours and I mostly play Medium AKM and Heavy Flamethrower. In the last 30 days I started really playing light sword and both SMG's and it's pretty fun. I had the most fun yesterday running around in Cash out with the Samurai Sword and Dash thrusting everybody LOL I was slapping heavy's then dashing and got some fellow lights who tried to chase me (sword to the face when they came around the corner. I thought the sword was trash but I was using it wrong. I faced a Medium who seemed to always know where I was recently and it was just too SUS so I reported him and they told me actions were taking against the player a few hours later so I think he was walling. I play on Console, PS5 but I can spot odd behavior. I drop double digit kills too sometimes so I don't assume people are cheating but some things be real off.

Ah yes, the light class. The most complained about class whether its heavies complaining about being caught by yourself out in the open, or lights complaining about once again dying to a mine left in a doorway from two team fights ago.

I love using the ks-23 but it’s just so inconsistent and it feels like I’ll have to use it for forever to get good with it. Should I use the sa1216?

SA12 is definitely more forgiving - and it’s not that the KS-23 is inconsistent, it’s literally *pinpoint* accurate and that throws a lot of people off (including me) when using a shotgun. I like both but the SA12 is going to be the easiest to approach for the majority of people. Just remember, you can use a winch claw while the gun resets after firing 4 shots!

One thing I have to say is, they nerf heavy EVERY season, and unless I am queuing with other players a triple or even double light team will walk over me at every opportunity, I have to play my rpg and winch claw perfect everytime, yet as soon as I focus one light their will always be one following up for a pincer attack, I’m one of those players that believe that lights are actually overtuned and make the game as unfun as they do, they make mesh and dome shield unusable if they have glitch nades, thermal bore shreds my barricades and I have to put myself in harms way to place another one or pick up the one that is partially destroyed to refresh it, STUN GUN with perfect accuracy for whatever reason, and it’s not even the one stun gun it’s the multiple that I have to expect and be ready to react to, the list goes on, the fact that embark is putting so much power into light to attract more players since that’s the *fam favorite* class and nerf heavy every chance they get, simply reminds me of when support in overwatch 2 was broken a majority of its life span, oh yeah they players come and like to spend money because they enjoy their overtuned kit so let’s keep doing that. *NOTE* having to run flame thrower and sledge and losing all range also sucks to be able to remotely tackle a light is cringe, they should allow for at least one swap from the reserve per round because I hate being countered the whole round when my medium didn’t put glitch mines in his kit and it cause my other players to get ran down by triple dash and vanish lights 🤷🏻‍♀️

Personally I never have issues with lights as a heavy unless I have poor positioning or am away from my team, and that’s usually what ends up killing you. It’s really easy to get frustrated by abilities but you have to remember that you have just as much scummy abilities as a heavy as they do. Lights aren’t broken or overturned, they’re just fun for a majority of players so you get annoyed by them more often. Trust me, when you get to the higher levels of play in this game you are happy when you see lights in the lobby instead of double medium + heavy or triple medium every game. They do need to stop increasing recoil on the heavy guns tho there is no point in doing that

@@ronin_fps well I don’t have a chance to see that because even in gold 1 I still see triple light teams that *MY TEAMMATES* have issues with. Once again for me to deal with a team of lights or multiple lights I have to play correctly if my teammates are crapping the beds on themselves, once again I’m not necessarily having an issue, yet it’s still a team game, and unless my slow self is confidently isolating 1v1s then yes you need your team in a team based game during a team fight, it’s the fact that you need to make a video like this is the issue, no one is asking about how to play against heavy, it’s basically play cover and bait out rpg and hook early, medium is stop the medium from defibing, use glitch traps, mines on statues and have hook ready for the obvious defib that’s incoming those things are common sense, yet light needs whole builds built around them to deal with them. Also the fact that a sword dash/vanish can simply walk through a team while baiting out abilities with possibly opening up a fight with picks or team wiping during a chaotic fight is kind of crazy, and I speak from experience I play with an wayyy above average sword player and they successfully drop 23 kills on average, what’s the excuse all of those players had bad positioning? The only people that deal with them is flamethrowers which makes the whole rest of a game a BORING experience

Calm down man I’m just trying to help 😭 It could be a regional thing that you get a lot of triple light lobbies, I really just don’t and it took me so long to get footage for this vid because I just never got many games with light. You don’t need to run these loadouts to kill light but they help if you’re having trouble with them. Idk how else I can help, it just seems to me like I never have trouble with them but other people just get really annoyed with them. Quick question - are you on controller/console? That could be a big difference maker

@@ronin_fps I’m on MNK, run a wooting with a very good mouse, hit masters multiple seasons on apex and was a t500 overwatch player, it’s the fact that you can’t do much to help around poor gameplay balance and a inconsistent balance philosophy. Once again I AM NOT and I repeat not having ANY issues, I use the ks23 and successfully land one shot then hook and shoot and melee to confirm the issue is that’s expending such a key utility where as if I don’t use that combo to kill the light they escape to heal extremely fast and I still have two other players to deal with if my teammates can’t happen to land their shots. They nerfed winch claw damage by 10 dmg killing the hook shot melee combo because light players *FELT LIKE THAT WAS OPPRESSIVE* , yet light players can dip in and out of invis and dash around all taking shots while one is distracting making it near impossible to deal with unless you once again play to a perfect standard. If you’re still missing the point, heavy gets nerfed every patch and yet light gets buffed out the wazoo every patch and when they nerfed it’s a basically them tickling them, I’m not trying to be a jerk or antagonistic but I’m considering the other 90% of the playerbase and why players seems to be dropping like flies when it comes to this balance philosophy. Not everyone is going to play to tea everytime yet light players have every get out of jail free card and a counter to basically everything is why I listed a huge chunk of their balances

Lights play like such cowards now. Season 1 they were agro, they did a lot of what you mentioned in the video, but they fought to their last breath. Now… they can get like 1% damage and they immediately start tweaking and run away like a bunch of wimps, not even to reposition, but to just literally hide in a corner until they think they are in the clear.

I always just end up turning around and shooting them, but for people who are on controller or who might not have particularly good aim that TTK battle may not go in your favor. The other option that should work for everyone is simply stay with your team. Lights thrive on 1v1s, and even if they manage to taze you, if you and your 2 teammates immediately turn around and start shooting them you shouldn’t have too many problems.
