Dear B. Nayak, there is a high demand for this course after M.Sc. nowadays. So, a minimum 630+ GATE score is required for an unreserved candidate to get into IIT Madras and IIT Kgp (these two are top IITs in sense of placement of this course). But if your score ranges from 550 to 600, you may get some IIT, for example, IIT Patna, IIT Palakkad etc. Also, a good score implies a good rank.....All the best !!

GATE is not for lecturership. You need to qualify CSIR NET- exam for lecturership and the cutoff is 55% in masters for unreserved class !! All the best

For good iits, you need sound basics of Mathematical (not only a good rank is sufficient). You must target a good GATE- SCORE (rather than rank) which is around 550. Also, start reading books to improve basics for the interview which is the main thing to get into any Institute (no matter you are Rank-1 Or, Rank-200). In short, just need good score (around 550) and sound basics

Thank you dear Kuntal. Cut-off varies every year so you need to keep yourself updated. Try to score around 40 marks (for the unreserved cat.) to get a decent rank. But your knowledge in the interview will be the final thing. All the best

Then you should give IIT Jam exam if u want msc from IIT. You can get information about this exam here on you tube , there are lots of videos.
