I was sort of confused about the difference btw tecnology and design thing bcz to apply for apparel production we just have to pass GAT but for design there is a series of test. I'm also quite unsure if i would pass the test or not bcz its my 12th and i had not been able to prepare so well.....buut im taking it as an experience, lets see what god has decided for me (fingers crossed)

tanvi upadhyay Bftech exam pattern is different from b.des. In technology only a written paper of GAT is asked according to which final rank is given for ur admission b.f.tech is a course of apparal production not design..

+anshika kushwah BASICALLY they expect something which is very creative, i mean they check your Presentation skills how you present, i will suggest you give presentation like a product designer, just surf on net that product design or anything related to that & you will find some google image which are so pro looking art, ya they use topic marker for that but you can use steadtler color pencil also to make your work more attractive & create so i mean to say take inspiration from their work which is the main point which presentation & then comes whats your creative part what product you are making ,so its should be very creative with nice color emphasis , & visual should be in good proportion & perspective.keep in mind they check your Creative power how deep you think & what your mind creates

Actually, I am not that much in masters, details regarding Masters will be given by nift.ac.in every year as prospectus for master, better check that. But to get master seats work hard. Seats are limited so improve your skills. Further details you can search on google accurately what you wanna know. & thank you so much. You must Purchase Arihant book for NIFT Entrance Preparation for reference on GD/PI , all questions are available which will boost your confidence.

Hey.. I cracked NIFT's first phase and I would like to know what I can do for practice for the second phase. What did you get for second phase? I really want nift Delhi cz I have family and all there. What rank does one need to get in to the Delhi one? I think I messed up maths but the English and General portion was ok. *stressing* Anyway, I watched a couple of your vids and they are really nice. Why didn't I see them before is beyond me. +shivani kothapally actually I have doubt for this , because these guys have evening class & we have less interaction with them, but ya they have NLEA admission, you can check Nift.ac.in, here they update admission for diploma, & I think ya you have to give test but selection is easy as compared to bachelor programs, it's for 1yr diploma

if you are talking about Nift, Accessories Design is good, which deals with sketching ,and 3d work. then if strictly you need fine arts so go in fine art college, OR BEST IS TO GO IN NID, if you crack NID you can learn many thing in that campus.. after nift or nid graduation you become designer, specifically after nift you are a designer, merchandiser, stylist, creative director, fashion manager, model, in retail, and many more way ,but to reach there, first focus on skills , give value and style to it. portfolio is not for bachelor course.

alot of people talk about pressure facilities put on students and how challenging the life is at nift. so I want to ask you if it's worth it to fight for attaining a degree from nift ? alot of people even say that people don't get good jobs or well paid jobs .. does spending money for paying fees gives a good return ?

nice question, Pressure is there, but to be frank i will clear your doubt, do not expect fashion industry to be very clam and easy running industry, NIFT show you the half face of real fashion industry which is fill with pressure and perfect time management. so they train you well to master the time management and make you aware that you gonna miss nift campus after graduating because the pressure in fashion industry is more so they make you challenging to deal with and every new comer in design have struggled, a candidate who master his skills inspite of thinking that they won't get good jobs. make s no sense. I have seen seniors who graduate from same batch and reaching even abroad. same student of 35 ...all are getting same but 1 candidate who reaches to the top. its shows , instead of focusing what will be the outcome, its is better to focus and work hard on your unprofessional skill, master it and become valuable so that in the 4th year of your graduation day, you become so valuable that industry needs your talent. People will speak ,it is individuals responsibly to believe in your intuition and wrk hard for present... GOOD LUCK.
