This tool has the potential to be the "Figma" for casual web games! Please, keep going! By the way is there an API for developers?

Once the animation is imported, is it possible to either pause on a specific frame from an action like the pause button in the animation panel, or speed-up/slow-down the animation, or play the animation backward ? I rly need those options for a project and I don't rly know how to do it within Spline If it isn't, I do think those could be key missing features to animations

Are you planning on making it possible to add own additional game controls and behaviour? For example to add a crouching or double jump animation? I would love to see that, because honestly there is not much missing to create even some more complex games!

Is Spine going to be the most user friendly game engine? It should!

I could see monetization be an export option where all a user has to do is to set the price and then spline handles payment, server cost, server scaling and takes a 20-30% rev share. As a game dev. I am very interesting in building a serious game using spline at this point. It should work with the embed option though so that I can point to my own domain.

Can I make complex unique combat action scenes like the animation from that KZbin video “Haloid”? Or those action scenes from the show series by RoosterTeeth “RWBY” and “Red vs Blue” easier with this software? I’m like super creative in coming up with those combat scenes but I don’t want to spend a billion years just to make and animate those scenes 😅

Thanks for this clip. I subscribed and followed everything, but when I tried to export my hip-hop dancing model from Mixamo, the estimated export size was 9 MB, which is too large for most websites. However, I tried animating it in Blender with just one bone attached to the model and then imported it into Spline, resulting in a 5 MB size export. Are there any ways to reduce the size to just 1-2 MB maximum?

Are all scenes contained in one big scene or loaded dynamically one by one from your servers?

What about gltf files with animations? It is still not working?

You can import GLTF files with animation, yes! (exporting animated GTLF files is not possible yet)

How to import a spline file into Mixamo? spline does not export files in FBX, OBJ, ZIP formats.
@sebaccimaster4 ай бұрын
Man i love this engine but it feels really heavy. I can run the latest UE smoothly , yet i struggle with spline locally. (sometimes)
@ffairchildd Жыл бұрын
So you have to import different models with animation baked into them instead of having 1 model / fbx with different animation files?
@splinetool Жыл бұрын
If you import multiple versions of the same model with different animations, Spline will only import the mesh once; and get only the animation data from the other models.
@future_sos11 ай бұрын
@@splinetool unfortunately importing from Mixamo doesn't work. I've tried every possible FBX format, with skin and the models are all imported without a texture. I then did a test to isolate whether Mixamo or Spline was the culprit. Using 3dviewermax the FBX is imported perfectly with all textures and looks exactly like it does in Mixamo. This being new, I guess it's not quite there yet. Super glad I tested this now versus later.

Thank you for this great tutorial, do you know how I could make seamless transitions between scenes with a scroll trigger ? I would like to do it for a web page background that would change as we scroll the content

Yes after creating your animation click on Export and copy the embed code and paste it in your webpage, Bingo!
