What happens at minute 3:28? There is a moment when the four chevrons with a black outline become 5 chevrons with no outline, and it appears to happen with a keyboard click? Thank you!

Its just formatting change (due to editing it flicks....). Only relevant thing there is that you need to fragment objects. Hope that helps!
