You CAN use builder gel, u just cured it too long. Try curing for half the time and when it is in final shape & position you do a good final cure.

I use 2 full tips, same size, one on top of tne other, bottom tip is usually the flat soft tip and the top is acrylic with the raised apex.. and it's much easier and not so long, messy nor using a lot of builder gel.. builder gel and no wipe gel glue...

@polygel Cherael you can make it smaller and just file to the shape and exact size u want or cure gel for a few secs then cut it and finish curing. But looks easier to use the glue I wouldn’t have thought to use the glue thx for the video.

Sooo I love this and how thin it looks! I haven’t done aquarium nails in a very long time! But I definitely was looking for a method that didn’t require glue, or acrylic!! And I found this…a lot of my things were stolen so I’m going to use what I have!! I don’t have any poly gel I just have the rhinestone gel you have… I work Monday morning and I want to be able to take my nails off…😢I don’t want them on that long at all!!!!! But, ill recreate this …you done an amazing job! Thank you

Hi thank you and sorry your stuff was stolen, that sucks… but yes these nails are really cool, you can use peel off base coat so it doesn’t stay on for too long or press on nail tape.

My question with these is can they actually be worn? Or is this just like a press on deal? I really want to create some. But I’m also not sure if they need acrylic or if they’ll be too thick.. maybe I can do Gel X instead..

Hi, yes these can be worn, they do feel a little heavy at first, but you get used to it. You can apply it with polygel or acrylic to ensure tht it stays.

I design and stay in over the top nails including water/snow globe etc etc. nails with no problems but I’m use to it. Certain things require commitment lol

Yes you can use baby oil, I have been using baby oil for my most recent aquarium nails. Coconut oil is too expensive to be wasting like tht hahaha Yes I’ll see what I can do for a Halloween aquarium nail set

You could file it down or just take a nail and trim the form or some parchment paper the width of the nail and it would be perfect

Not being rude, and I love the aquarium nails, but it’s all a bit boring and you can see all your own nails through them, I don’t like overly blinged up designs, but I like to see a bit more going on than that, a beautiful burnt orange and yellow umbra just on your nails would have set that off a treat, and hidden what was going on behind, unless you were just showing off the technique of course, but would loved to have seen it finished really nice, you got lovely skin tone it would have really popped 😊❤
