Thanks for your question. You would be able to add links from OneDrive, upload PDFs, or add your MS documents to Google Drive and add them from there. As far as front end and back end, if you are referring to coding a different UI or functionality, I’m not sure 🤔. We are currently building our own software that will be a better version. Any particular reason for your company not having a shared drive on Gdrive, which has more secure options available on the admin page, etc.…??

All of the information in the Google Site will come from a shared drive or permission based documents within Google Drive. You may have uploads from your desktop or links/embeds from outside tools which is another reason the leverage Google Sites. The Google Site concept is a way to better organize your materials and deliver a better experience to your employees. In most cases, companies do not have everything stored in a Shared Google Drive. Google Sites allows you to put everything together in one location. Google Sites also acts similar to Google Drive in the security aspect. Google Sites can be for “Your Organization Only.” It’s all based on permission settings.
