I really hope divi is gonna make this a standard feature. I'm having more trouble with Divi Overlays than good results to be honest. Plus the support at Divi Life is not too great, at least in my experience.

Issues can come from a number of different problems...i.e. conflicting plugins, bad hosting, jank code, etc so I always recommend that people send a ticket into DiviLife if there's an issue. I'm a user of their plugins and fan of the team behind them but not tech support for them. Hope that helps!

I just bought this plugin after really checking it out... reading reviews, reading the tutorial documentation, etc. It looked very easy. I installed the plugin registered it and was good to go. Created my first overlay and used their "classic-modal-sample-layout.json" template. I followed their instructions exactly. In the Divi Builder I previewed the overlay and it looked great. I then set up a button to trigger the overlay, again following the instructions which are fairly simple. I made sure to Enable Overlays in Divi: Theme Options > Builder > Enable Overlays. When I open the page and click on the trigger button an overlay pops up but it's all in HTML on an overlay background. I contacted Divi Life Support... after 4 days they said to Enable Overlays and clear my cache. Enable Overlays was already enabled so I cleared my browser cache, my hosting cache, and the Divi cache... same results... a pop up in HTML on a gray transparent background. I wrote support again and after 2 days have not heard back. I'm pretty sure I just wasted $79.00... not impressed at all!

I did not use Divi Overlays, but I did once use the plugin Popups for Divi. Had some success but it's still a pain and at times things interfered with the popup working properly. I am honestly still searching for a great popup solution, especially if I could get it to work with Divi Builder. So far the plugin ConvertPlus has been the best! Would recommend.

There is some incompatibility with the current Divi and this plug-in. Can DiviLife please address this. It turns an overlay into a POST. - I just now closely followed the Intro Video on their website - and there are differences now, due to the upgraded Divi. It just won't create an Overlay - it will not work property at all. Disappointing

Josh in the video you promised to show us how you use the DIvi Overlay on images but you didn't. I have a gallery of 17 Images and I want to create an effect that when the visitors click on the images it open up in a lightbox with a bigger with 2 paragraph about the image. Do I need to create 17 Overlay popup for each image?

Yeah you just create an overlay for each image. That's how we did it for the barbers gallery on that site.

How would I go about duplicating/cloning an overlay? I can't find any option to do it and I need to make 8 very similar overlays but with slightly different content in each and customizing all of them individually sounds like a nightmare.

This thing has caused me more problems... it keeps breaking and they give me an update, then it breaks again and another update... the thing is I don't find out about it to the client has a complaint and my Google ads conversions drop then I see it's the freaking popup doing something that I set it not to do. ie: Exit only and but it started showing up right away blocking people... tired of this plugin... avoid it.

Hi Josh. I've been using Divi overlays to display a site registration popup triggered on the exit of particular page, however, I do not want the popups to be triggered at all for users that are already registered and logged in. Is there a setting or a hook that I can hook into in order to only allow the trigger for logged in users?

Hello Josh. I was looking for a Divi compatible Popup possibility that opens in delay without click. I tried the Popup Maker Plugin and it worked fine on one divi page, on another not at all. It works with the DVB and the most recent Divi updates in 4.0. Always possible there's a conflict with another plugin so just send something into their support and you'll get some quick help.

The URL trigger function/option just does not work. Very frustrating. I wanted a Disclaimer page with "Enter"/"Leave" to 'pop-up' when my url was input. It just won't work. I have read all the tutorials and the support video - Very frustrating. (The other options worked, but not URL trigger).

Either i have purchased the wrong plugin ( :) ) or you are joking us , you cannot built directly into the divi overlays plugin !! you have to build your content in an empty page then export to your pc and then import to the overlay you are creating and i am not able to edit anything afterwards a little bit annoying meaning the whole procedure. Not so great as it seems .

you don't have to export. just use the divi librabry. also, you CAN edit inside the plugin.
