In the most recent version of PP you can directly control a picture's transparency (in format picture > picture [4th tab]) so that step has become easier :)

make sure that your layout slide is really empty as OneSkill explained it quickly (min 05:11), [control all objects on the slide with "selection pane"] because only then - if these two objects ("tiger" and "placeholder img") are all there is - then the mege shape effect "intersect" will work ! (had the same problem ^^)

with the new power point 2016 you can select ''take off the background'' of the picture and it easier to have just the head of the tiger.

Bro, How you did animation for going directly from cat and tiger slide to batman slide. Because if we want to do that with the help of Morph transition, we have to create 2 slides for that one animation and you did only on one slide & when you was showing slideshow, animation happened perfectly. +Taffy l in slide master view create image placeholder then put some kind of shape on top of it e.g. batman outline drawn with freeform tool, select both the image placeholder and the shape and should be able to click on intersect option. I am using PowerPoint 365 subscription, maybe someone else has tested if intersect works in PowerPoint 2016?
