Excellent explanation, thank you. I have used Power Automate to export details of the currently selected Power BI item(s) to Microsoft Lists. Subsequently importing the list back into Power BI during the Scheduled Refresh. This means that I can present a list of data to the users, and allow them to mark items as 'Checked off' and refresh the view when the next load of items comes into Power BI. It does require the items to have a unique identifier to ensure things don't get confused, but this is a relatively simple field to create on each table - which is linked back to the imported List. If there is a need to add an explanation, these can be prepopulated in each Power Automate Flow, or more complicated explanations can be entered in Lists by editing the appropriate record (which is a little more work, but completes the user experience).

This was a great feature to have added, so often you still get the "I need to be able to have and export of that", filtered, sliced etc... Analyse in Excel is great, but when they want to have the raw data, you used to have to set up a Paginated Report and use parameters to replicate your filters etc... @filipwinski42193 жыл бұрын
Hello Ruth. Great Video!!! - So when you export data to excel you need to have an existing file with a table inside. My idea is: 1 from the cloud flow trigger the power automate desktop to create and and save new file 2. new step to build the table from cloud flow and then finally 3 send and save data to the created file and table. To do that you need to install power automate and gateway. This is just only an idea and I don't know if this will work, but technically seems to be possible.
@CurbalEN3 жыл бұрын
You will need two flows then, as I think the first step needs to be the power bi one.

Yes, I mention that in the video. Maybe there is a delete rows action in flow you can exexute before adding them?
@ralfwitte47073 жыл бұрын
@@CurbalEN Yes, thanks again. You have to identify a row by a key value and then you have to delete it before inserting the new row. It works for me.
