I love how clear, concise and organized your videos are and how you actually demonstrate the steps. These qualities really make your videos outstanding.. (And it's amazing to me how many people doing YT tutorials don't do these things!). I do have a couple of questions which I hope you can answer for me. I plan to launch a course this fall and will be creating three pre-launch videos which I'll "house" in a FB group. I assume it should be private, but visible, right? Any recommendations on how long before the videos go up that I should create the group--or does it matter? Also, I'd love to ask for emal addresses as one of the set of questions, but wouldn't that dissuade people from joining the group? Thanks so much for a great video and your thoughts on these questions.

Hi i have some questions.. should i set the group in private or public? I am planning to do some market research first before i enter the new business that i want.. creating an FB group is what im thinking first to build a community of that niche product/business.. should i leave it in public first for a few months or once i reach a certain no. of members? or should put it on private so it would limit the spams of non-members also if the people prefers a privacy group rather public?

I don't have the group of dots by my profile I just have a plus (+) sign when I click on that it takes me to create, and then when I click on groups I go a page where I get a message "This content isn't available right now When this happens, it's usually because the owner only shared it with a small group of people, changed who can see it or it's been deleted." So I don't have a facebook account and I definitely don't want a personal one. That being said, I belong to a group of people that has tasked me with creating a facebook group for the group. I take it that I can't make a facebook group "Springfield Golf League" for instance by just making a Springfield Golf League account, but rather all of it needs to be created out of your personal account with your name on it etc.? It's a very noob question I know, but facebook just isn't my thing and I don't want to be personally associated with it at all. I don't mind running a goofy page for a Golf League though. I take it that is impossible without a personal account?

Your tutorial is helpful, although I fall at the first hurdle!!! When I try to set up a Group I get a 'This content isn't available right now' message. Have tried everything I can think of, logging out and in etc but still keep getting that damn message and it's driving me crazy!

You don't say why you made your group private. I followed your video tutorial and made my group private and now find the posts are not sharable for group members. I have 24 members already but have to try to get them to join a new public group. I think maybe Facebook changed their rules since you made this video so now you can't change a private group to a public one. You have to make a new group. :(

Please tell me if there is any way to reorder the main tabs on a facebook page. The ones listed as About Discussion Guides. Your video on guides has saved my life. The problem is that my community are older seniors who need things easy to find. Since I want them to go immediately to guides, I need a way to bypass discussion or to put it 2nd in the list. Can this be fixed? Or can I blank out Discussion?

Hi, regarding your course, do you think it'd be effective to sell life insurance? As you can imagine, people don't like to talk about death or life insurance in general..so it's not as easy of a social media sell as would a product where you can benefit immediately would be. Any thoughts?

Life insurance is not about selling insurance, it is about selling peace of mind (as you know). But more specifically with what you do, social media is a great way to build a sphere of influence that constantly refers you new business (kind of like a real estate agent would do).

@@mrjerrypotter Yes, I understand the social media aspect. I'm referring specifically to creating a Facebook group to sell life insurance. I'd love to create an ecosystem, however starting a facebook targeted to talk about life insurance, would be a challenge. No one would hang around a group designed to talk about life insurance, which would probably effect the actual power of a facebook group(culture, community and just hanging out). Just wondering if you knew of a way it could possibly work? Or would the best route be to create a community centered around another topic, and build relationships with those people?

@@mrjerrypotter I keep being told that with facebook groups, you must niche down. The title should say who's the group for, and what's it about. But the "what's it about" part is where I'm stuck. Because if I create a group that does not really say it's about life insurance..then posting lives and posts talking about life insurance any given moment, could possibly come off spammy.

As you said, "No one would hang around a group designed to talk about life insurance." And in most cases they may not join a group about that. Because of that a Facebook Group may not be your best bet. You could create a community around something else (referral partners, a specific hobby, parenting, etc.) and just be the likable person in the group who happens to sell life insurance. It all depends on how much time you have and your goals. Hope this is helpful, best of luck!

It recently started up a second page on Facebook. My old one has its own profile and can join its own groups on it. But my new one cannot do any off this and seems to be completely different and attached to my personal page. Do you know why this could be?

Whether or not a Business Page can join a group depends on the group itself. Many Group Admins don't allow Pages to join (even if they have in the past).

Hi, we have four 'groups' with facebook pages and we would like to have 1 overall group page that they can all post, comment, and list events on. Can this be done? we are a Floral Art Society (Group), we are not a business we are all volunteers. Thanks

Hi Margaret! I'm not sure I fully understand your question, but it sounds like you have 4 different Facebook Business Pages? You can absolutely create a single Facebook Group and invite everyone to it. Inside the group people can post, comment and create events!
