Oh dear, you're a total beginner 🙂. I like your interest because it will take you far. But you know all sewing begins from making basic top and skirt you can start learning from there and then apply the tips you see in this video. That is if you're aiming to make this style. So just try to have the basic knowledge

Thanks for the tutorial. Please may I know why you used 4 inches instead of 3.5inchea for your bust span?

You're always welcome, So I used 4" for the bust span because I am drafting directly on my fabric. If I draft on a pattern paper then I will make use of 3.5". This is because , on pattern paper where I used 3.5, I will still need to add 0.5" sewing allowance to make it 4 " But on pattern paper, I just used the 4" because the additional 0.5"there is for joining the patterns to make one piece. By so doing, I wont ever fall short of fabric 😉 Hope this is useful❓❓

Sure you can.. You can use the waistline darts but then if the fabric is Ankara, it means you would need to include the bustline darts (the side darts). ...and you're welcome 🙂
