This is a great tutorial, Mary. I just couldn't make a repeat pattern of it in Illustrator. Could you tell me how to do that?

Thank you! To create a repeated pattern you can create one hexagon, then click Object- Pattern -Make. In the Tile type select hex by column. Save it.
