Great video Jonathan! Being a total newbie, you were moving pretty quick for me, but I still enjoyed it.

Thanks for the walk-through Jonathan! Watched a few more of your videos and subbed. Looking forward to more videos.

Once again...thumbs up for your case study teaching approach. One thing though... not sure the need for making the header and footer reusable elements when you could have created the original template and make the other templates children of the main. Won’t that be achieving the same goal?
@OxygenBuilder5 жыл бұрын
Correct, that would be a better way.
@Permaslug5 жыл бұрын
My purpose for that was because I wanted the full width hero title for the posts and courses, but not for the pages. Perhaps there’s a better way?
@goshenweb5 жыл бұрын
Permaslug - I think you could still achieve that by adding a full width section as the placeholder container in the parent template where the inner content will be added in the two child templates?
@goshenweb5 жыл бұрын
Jonathan - I was going to replicate this but for some strange reason, Oxygen tag is not updating to the actual post title when I add the dynamic data. Odd. I have tried this on both the local and live site and it doesn't work for me. I used CPT UI to create the custom post type similar to yours. I was trying to replicate your tutorial to show that you can avoid using the reusable header/footer.

What a wonderfull job ! Thank you for tutorial May i maybe ask you to help, cause [mepr-membership-registration-form id=""] doesnt work properly with template. Do you suggest anything else? (memberpress support didnt help me) Thank you

I can confirm [mepr-membership-registration-form id=""] is not working at all?? any fix?
@alangunning90192 жыл бұрын
if anyone else is struggling with this, you can achieve the same by adding a text field to the registration template and add dynamic content (insert data, then choose 'content' under the posts section. The subscription sign up form will then pull in. :)

@@alangunning9019 That worked thank you. I've also emailed Memberpress asking why it doesn't work with Oxygen but for now at least my site works

@@alangunning9019 Just gave another shot. This method doesn't work anymore.

This is really a cool tut, thank you very much! I would like to ask you is there a possibility that you will make a tutorial for a lets say fitness booking website where students could check-in and check-out for classes during the week through a weekly timetable. I don't know which booking plugin is the best to use with Oxygen, but it would be great if it would have a mobile application for students to check in and out as well.

[mepr-membership-registration-form id=""] is not working? I see this elsewhere. Do you have a fix for this or do we have to place each id for each subscription? Thanks for the video

I've found that when an image is a direct child of a flex container, the image will "squish" when it runs out of room. There is no way around this except to wrap the image with a div so that it will be properly responsive. Just in case anybody comes across that.

Just a heads up. Memberpress is no longer compatible with O2. I could not get it to work at all. O2 support needed to force some CSS in order for things to load properly. In my opinion that's not a solution, it's a band-aid.
@adamuiux3 жыл бұрын
What alternatives would you recommend for membership sites?
@quadcom3 жыл бұрын
@@adamuiux I love O2 don't get me wrong. But in this case I would fall back on my 2nd pick, Divi. Memberpress specifically points out Studiopress. I can't say anything about that theme as I have never used it.

The MemberPress short code does not work for me when leaving the id parameter blank on a template applied to memberships. Had to make a page for each using the shortcode with the ID.
@erwanmanchec58333 жыл бұрын
same here
@adamzonnis9803 жыл бұрын
@@erwanmanchec5833 It wasn't working for me either, but I figured out a workaround. I made a new template, and designed the page how I like, but I put the Inner Content block only where I want the registration form to appear. The title and anything else is located outside the inner content block. It works great!
