This helped me a lot. I'm a Computer Technician by day and I get tons of questions from students who need help and I usually have to help them with their outlines for different classes. Usually I do it the hard way of manually going in, hitting "Enter", then backspacing the bullet out and then clicking and formatting the bullet again to what they want. I got tired of doing it the hard way and decided to finally learn the easier way of doing it and this video helped a lot! So simple. Never fully understood that button before and how to do the multi-level list. Thanks!

I'm still looking for a way to create a custom multilevel list that appends the section heading numbers to whatever I have in the list. For example, if I'm in section 2.3 and I have a numbered list of items, the items would be numbered 2.3.1, 2.3.2. In other words, numbered as if it were the next heading down, but does not use the Heading styles.

I believe this could only be answered with Visual Basic coding. Unfortunately I cannot assist in that regard. Meanwhile, I am still trying for a solution.
