How To Create A Podcast Intro and Outro

When saving the file, is it OK to save as mp3 (wav takes up more space in storage on my PC, correct?) then when opening it, change to wav THEN compress and save the file as mp3 when editing the entire podcast? Thanks

You can do that, WAV does take up more space. But then you'd be compressing it twice and it'll lose quality each time. As intros and outros are very short, the space taken up shouldn't be too much of an issue. That being said, most won't notice the difference.
