I was all good until I tried using the rectangular Marquee tool, then I just receive and error message that says: Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended could not move the selection because the pixels in a group cannot be edited without merging the group. WHAT DO I DO?

in 1:30, he pressed ctrl + J then ctrl + E : ctrl + j for coping and ctrl + E for merging cause you simply cant move pixels without merging the group as they said in the error x)

Hey guys! Here’s how to do this with A Mac! 1:33 after making the copy layer go to “Layer” at the top of photoshop and scroll down to “Merge group” then use the rectangle Marquee tool to make the “Glitch”. To move the Glitch hold down “command” and drag! Hope this helps!!

Use the marquee tool to make a selection, switch to the transform tool and hold down alt to move it without cutting. Cmd+d deselects :)
