Thank you for your outstanding channel! You are very talented, and a great communicator. Though I work as a graphic designer, I thoroughly enjoy your work. In fact, I think you are more naturally creative and artistic, than many of the graphic designers I work with. lol

Just a suggestion -there's a non-destructive and easy way to turn the floor plan white -group all layers that you want white -add an adjustment layer "solid color" above that group and set it to white -create a clipping mask by holding alt/option and clicking between the solid color layer and the group.

very nice series of videos. just one question tho. when you enlarge or shrink the image size, doesn't the scale change? how was the section 1:100 before when it was small and also 1:100 when enlarged? i hope you clear my doubt...

Nice video! Definitely want to try something like this in one of my next presentations. One question though, can you still put a scale with 1:100 after placing and resizing the frame in InDesign? Doesnt that change the distances?

#PresentationBoard - Seems like a building architecture artifact that could be useful adapted to web design projects

Definitely Eric! I think it's always interesting to see how techniques from different fields can be adapted and used in new ways. Who knows, maybe the next big thing in web design will be inspired by architectural presentation boards!

what's the whole point of importing a floorpan into PS and adjusting the colors if you could just export them from your CAD in the colors you want. AND even more important you end up with a pixelated floor plan which does not have any vectors.

Sir I'm just curious The drawings we're scaled 1:100 but you resize it on that proj. Will it still be 1:100 when you print it?
@kortanon_5515
@kortanon_5515 3 жыл бұрын
no. and please dont do it. if you need to have a 1:100 scale be sure it is 1:100 (1cm on paper equals 100cm in real life)! as an architect you develop a sense for space and if the plan is out of scale we will know and start ask questions. and PLEASE keep all the drawings the same scale. dont put a 1:50 section and a 1:100 floor plan on your presentation its confusing and the propotions can be hard to read. and stay with common scales.

@@kortanon_5515 yahh...to b honest I know very well about scaled drawing I'm an engineer,,, I'm just bothered by you rescaling your drawing and still put 1:100

@@markalbaytar i mean i never scaled my drawings like this and i honestly dont know how you would know ;) but yes it bothered me too. while reading the comments i thought many architecture students watching this kind of video and could start doing this mistakes, so i thought i try to get things right :D

Thank you for your tutorial! Two remarks :-) 1) The white text touching a leaf of palm is hurting my eyes (can be personal) 2) as a floor plan and a section is scaled freely, there shall not be a scale 1:100
@markalbaytar
@markalbaytar 3 жыл бұрын
Please everyone make sure you don't do what he just did there resizing the drawings and still putting the original scale because technical drawings are supposed to have correct measurements on the actual paper

When you drag it to the new frame, the scale is no longer 1: 100 and the image may be distorted ? Is it right?
@ShowItBetter
@ShowItBetter 3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, if you want to keep your plan at scale then you have to drag it in and click once anywhere, that will show you the size you exported it from autocad or photoshop. In this case it put scale 1:100 for demonstrative purposes... but if I want to be responsible it would’ve been like 1:87 or something lol

how to extend the sky? i still dont know how to do it on photoshop:(
@ShowItBetter
@ShowItBetter 3 жыл бұрын
I didn’t include the video because it would’ve made this video up to 49 minutes! BUT in short you have to 1. import your render into photoshop 2. Also import your alpha channel(Lumion does this too) 3. From the alpha channel select the sky and mask it(so it’s not visible) 4. Select the canvas tool or press C on your keyboard. Then stretch your canvas up, (extending your sky) 5. Import a high resolution sky and replace it with the old one. Let me know if you have any other questions Steven
