Loved the light blue/red combo. But, it’s not everyone’s taste. When my granddaughter was 4 or 5, I made her an adorable light blue dress with red buttons and trim. She thanked me and then told me she didn’t like those colors together. 🤣

Lisa! Wowweeee! Of course it is personal preference I just not believe we were not asked to duplicate it many times over! after seeing those colors put together they’re just dynamite. I would much rather make my own crafts and then hope someone likes them enough to purchase them versus making something custom it just seems harder to me! You did an excellent job

Sea glass is one of my favorites. I painted a beautiful old 'girly' dresser with it. It made all the detail & etching on the glass just shine. It was hard to let it go lol I don't decorate with red either but I love it with sea glass & I've used it on smalls with Waverly's agave. I love your videos Lisa. You are so creative & full of ideas. Sometimes it takes me days to decide what color... stamp, stencil or transfer to use... 🤦‍♀️

I have a very old Hoosier Cabinet that is these two colors. I have several vintage pieces in my dining room displays.. I love the old kitchen serving spoons, sifters, and canisters. My Hoosier is trimmed in red originally. I love red mixed with the blue. I have a washboard displayed on a small wood stove. I'm gonna keep mine original, but love what you did there with the recipe. I collect recipe pie plates and have canisters with recipes. I have only one of my Mama's hand written recipes. It is for White Fruit Cake. It's really fading...it's precious to me. I need to do something with it to preserve it. Even though I keep most things original, because it takes me back (I'm almost 66)...I love your work...beautiful. Thank you.

I am so glad you mentioned that you do not deal before adding your stencils because I thought that it was crazy sealing before and after. But you are correct most people do it that way and I wasn’t sure if I could skip this. So thank you for mentioning that. I loved the red too. Red makes a good pop of color here and there, even tho it's not your all over color scheme. Also, I found that stamping on something over Chalk paint smudges when applying a topcoat with a brush (ruined my project), so I've learned to seal before stamping, but rub-ons don't smudge either.

*I wouldn't have thought to chalk paint a cake carrier; it did update it nicely - but I am with your friend - don't care for sea glass and red together, although that WAS a popular color combination in the 1950's. It limits your decorating too much, IMHO. You can find that color combination on Sonnet's Garden Blooms Channel and one other KZbinr I watch, too, whose Channel name has slipped my mind at the moment - so there are definitely others out there like you who like it too, Lisa❣️🤣 I really like the knob you used; it would look FANTASTIC in Patriotic Red, White and Blue decor❣️🇺🇸❤️🤍💙🇺🇸* *Your other items turned out well.*
