I use scrolling text all the time for my shows, sometimes with a color source behind it to accentuate it. But I never thought of scrolling an image. Good one!

I'm trying to create a sort of news ticker with too long text scrolling within bounds of a text source with defined constant width and height and no wrapping. However, the scroll doesn't achieve anything - it just scrolls the part of text that managed to fit and the rest is cut off. Is this intended? Is there any way around it?

Love this for the scrolling background! I animated my background in Davinci and am thinking I could improve stream performance with a simpler scroll animation! Now I just need time to try ;) Could this be be paired with pulling text files from say KZbin or Facebook comments/chat? I was chatting with someone who streams on YT and we were trying to work out how to do that. I'm not sure if the limitation is the access to the chat files outside of Twitch. Thanks for awesome content and inspiration as always!

Hello, My name is David Amrod and I am a relative newbie to OBS, only filming about 20 videos using it. I have done the same layout with each one, with a static picture taking up the right side of the frame while text of a scene of a story rolls up the left side. I just downloaded the update 28.1.2, and I have noticed that all of my videos only scroll through the first page of the text, and not all of the text as it used to. I do not know what changed or how to fix it. Help?

that's exactly how i did it, too (the spacing). the text field is limited - only so much can be typed in (i dunno the limit, likely 1024 charaters), but, alas that isn't why i tuned into this vid. i was hoping you'd show me something i had missed. a scroll filter can be applied to an entire scene, even. but, it wraps sources immediately. what if i want the wrapping of the scene to be delayed a little...(5seconds, say)?

Yes you can, there are a lot of tools to support that such as LioranBoard or streamerbot even just an OBS plugin called source dock. Unfortunately I have never seen that before

How to make it to where it doesn't lag, well not lag per say but to where it will flicker as it scrolls I know that has to do with bitrate.
