I would do the show hide menu like this: Sub btnShowHide_Click(): Sheet1.Shapes("myMenu").Visible = Not Sheet1.Shapes("myMenu").Visible:End Sub

Some reasons I can think of are 1. it will be linked to that Sheet only 2. You will have write code in the Sheet Module to populate the Year, Month and Quarter 3. If you want to create the same setup in another sheet then you need to duplicate the code in another Sheet module
