Next time could you show how you do the sides? Large surface areas seem like they would be more difficult (and tedious) to cover by simply tapping the paint on, so I'd like to see how you achieved that. Do you mostly just paint the sides and then go over it with tapping motions or do you tap the paint on the entire time until the entire sides are covered ? I tried recreating the look of your last piece that was similar to this, but the sides gave me trouble . Thanks a bunch! Love your work :)

Ashlie Brady hi Ashlie! I do the exact same thing on the sides, I leave it out to save time. I break the sides and top into sections just like I did the drawers. You will more than likely get a bit tired doing this. Just break into sections and take breaks, but’s it’s the exact same thing. Tap until it’s all covered just like the drawers! Hope this helps. I'm so inspired by this and I'm wondering if this look could still be achieved even though the piece is not wood. For instance, I have an plastic gray storage bin that has 4 storage drawers and I'm wondering if I could still make it look like stone. Please let me know if you think it'll work. I saw what you did with plastic mirrors so I'm hopeful!

It can probably be done. If you have no experience it may be a bit tough to start with this technique on plastic but it can be done!
