Yes, I love the sponges in eyeshadow palettes. Don’t understand people who throw them away, however I realise you also need a fluffy brush to blend it out. I loved this at the end. I must admit I didn’t at first and then it all came together like it always does. I have the Ziip Halo, it’s fantastic. I think you’ll love it. It does give a decent lift but it really improves the texture and tone of the skin too.

It's Christmas Joy in makeup! Love the festive look and your informative and charming Saturday videos! Today the corner eye flick was a great tip. A few random thoughts..... Do you like Jones Road Miracle Balm? Any special tricks for covering "spots" ? Any reason why you don't use primer? Any tricks for not getting mascara all over my top lids? If you haven't -please try Nature Bliss Diamond Extreme -- Extremely pricey BUT also extremely moisturizing and hydrating --Santa gift for sure! Any thoughts on long wear lip stick -- 8 hours type - they're drying but maybe you know of some that deliver and last without the drying effect - perhaps that is mandatory for the product to work. Any advice on products that help with dryness in the corner of the eye, I seem to be suffering with really deep crinkling around the inner corner of one of my eyes at the moment, I have tried Shiseido eye cream at night and also Bobbi Brown before putting on makeup but as soon as I use my concealer (I’ve tried Bye Bye Undereye, Hourglass and Huda Beauty) but they all enhance the tiny folds. Lovely smoky look. Am having a chill day with my son after quite the wk. My car broke down this wk on the way to pick up my son from school - nightmare! Needed a new battery. This was after my husband wrote off his car in a crash. Luckily he was OK apart from bruised shoulder ligaments. We had to replace his car quickly as he's in the middle of doing panto in a circus tent (don't ask - theatre has raac). His insurance was through the roof after the crash and also you get penalised for being in the entertainment industry. So it's been an expensive month! Hoping all the dramas are behind us and we can just enjoy Christmas. Happy Christmas everyone! Emma x

Caroline, I hope that in the New Year you will be able to give some advice on helping people like me who have very sensitive eyes? I’m using Clinique at the moment and it’s mostly not too irritating but I find that their eyeshadow colours seem so dated and I’m sure I wore the same ones thirty years ago! Now that is a christmas look to get onboard with. I have some Natasha Denona mini palettes and she has one called the Xenon Mini that has these exact same colours in it. Obviously they wont have the same consistency but cheaper than the Dior palette. Im going to practise this between now and Xmas so I can whack it on and impress the hell out of the family. Beautiful look! As for the homework, a couple of things from me. 1. Eye look for wearers of glasses. 2. A refresher on the useage of concealer and the different types out there. 3. Blush placement for different face shapes and for those of us who are cracking on a bit. 4. Bronzers cream and powder - all the different ways you can use them. 5. Bring back your lovely Mum for a few different looks along with the wonderful Zoe (sp). Caroline I want to thank you for a wonderful year of Saturdays sipping wine while listening to you teaching us all manner of amazing things, the fabulous chatter that always ensues along with giggles.
