In Synergy, both companies are winners. The shareholders of the acquired company win by receiving a premium from the acquisition. The shareholders of the acquiring company realize increased value thanks to the synergies obtained in the acquisition. It is, for all intents and purposes, a win-win situation. This is the main reason why synergies are said to be the main incentives or driving forces in M&As.

merging why merge 1grow.(more product, technology, contacts) 2.vertical intregation(buying people to get cost benefits usually only when big) 3synergy(making deals with other companies usually with price is illegal) merges dont always work

Interesting topic. Tom, do you know any examples of "reverse" vertical integration? Like a supplier buying its client. I think it would be rare but maybe a raw material processing company who owns the natural resources and provides its client with intermediate/middle products would be able to integrate its client... Good one Biz Doc. Always an interesting analysis from your end. Some Mergers and Acquisitions do turn out badly. Could it be that they didn't plan very well? Daimler bought Chrysler but it didn't go well and they had divest. Jaguar LandLover went from BMW to Ford before TATA and seems to be doing well under TATA. Could it be that one company might not know what to do to make something good out of a merger while another knows what to?

Been in $UNEQ Rumors of a reverse merger have been around before the coronavirus hit, then it tanked hard I mopped up in the triple 0s. Sitting at .0015 currently, Im up and ready to ride this baby to the moon. I made money on it back in January when it was .01-.02 Merger predictions put it at 10-20 cents im excitedddd about this one
