In this combined tutorial in Maya 2018 and Marvelous Designer 7.0 I will show you how to create a so called "Astronaut hose"
We will be doing the modeling bit in Maya and the cloth parts in Marvelous Designer. And at the end on the video I will bring everything back into Maya

Delete the history and export it as an OBJ ( UVed ) Also export the maps like diffuse etc

Hey Mike. I'm quite stuck at a point in Maya... Its completely unrelated to this tutorial, sorry. Suppose I created a text and duplicated it to 20 copies. Now i want to change the transparency and color of each individual copy, how do i do it? When i change the tranparency of one copy it changes for all the copies. Same thing happens for instances.. Please help me out! :/

That is because you are tweaking the properties of the material that has been used on all copies / instances. To avoid this ( example ) apply a blue blinn to object 1, then apply another blue blinn to object 2 ( NOT the same blinn you used on the first one )

Sooo it's saved as obj ( solid object) if I want to animate it. Would I have the same shape, effect of fabric material in maya if I gonna use ncloth in maya?
