Hi there, Thank you for this video. It's very informative. I'm trying to look at the stress generated by tightening a nut using an open spanner but I'm struggling to understand which portions of the nut should remain fixed and information on this subject specifically, is very sparse. Any chance you'd be up for doing a video on this? This could be done as a part by only looking at the spanner and fixing areas of the hex (or claw) or done via an assembly by including a nut & spanner. If we look very closely at the jaws of the spanner as it tightens a nut, the contact area is incredibly small. This is the part that I'm struggling to get meaningful information from.

Sir I have AutoCAD student version 2021, it didn't show stress analysis?
@AutodeskInventorGuy3 жыл бұрын
This is Autodesk Inventor, not Auodesk AutoCAD. You need to use Inventor if you want the stress analysis shown in this video 👍

Please tell me how to apply force on a bent or curved surface???
@nervousordo3 жыл бұрын
The problem with this video is there is no explanation of how the part is supposed to function. Why is a force load more applicable than a bearing load? Why did you choose the hole for the constraint and why a fixed constraint?

Aim of this was to show how to setup an FEA study, not replace the theory of FEA and Engineering. Hope you found what you needed and thank you for the feedback!
