Great video! If someone is feeling overwhelmed by plants my advise is to stop buying plants for 6 months, purge a few, THEN focus on making the plants you have adorable with pruning, finding the perfect pot, getting planter decorations like crystals/fossils for the soil, and/or a beautiful unique trellis. Spend time rearranging and deep cleaning what you have instead of acquiring more plants. I LOVE refreshing my plants with the perfect planter and a few crystals in the soil 😍

I live in a pretty small apartment and I have A LOT of plants so I know it would be cluttered by these design standards but, I make sure all my pots are white so that streamlines things a lot! Also, floating shelves for plants are GREAT.

I grew up in San Diego, CA. Both my late parents were Master Gardeners. But they focused on outdoor and shade-house plants. My dad didn't have a green thumb, he had a green arm! Ar one time or another, he had every flower that didn't need the cold to grow. Since I live in an apartment, I grow houseplants. I have a little over 100 plants currently. Thank you for this video, it gave me ideas.

This is such a well done video! Over the last year, I have gotten more into houseplants, and since I don't have a ton of light (north-facing windows), I've had to get grow lights and some shelves for my plants. With the amount of plants I have now, I've been thinking that it looks overcrowded, but didn't really know how to fix that. Looking over this video, it's soooo helpful and I love that she not only incorporated tips for just general styling, but focuses on the plant themselves (i.e. lighting, leaf texture, etc.) I feel like any past videos I have watched to try to style my plants, they use the plant as more of an aesthetic, rather than practicality (like putting a calathea or hoya in a dark corner) which doesn't make sense. Definitely going to refer back to this video as I continue figuring out my space!

Loved this video! For the last spot in the middle of the top row of test tubes, it might be a nice option to put some sort of art piece/wall sculpture, or even a mirror like the one at 18:15, as the kind of focal point to top off the pyramid of tubes

That maximalist look of your other wall is lovely. I think more empty pic frames with propigations inside may be fun. Or smaller gold mirrors something stacked like how you did your other wall. I.love that wall!
@sara_3873 жыл бұрын
Yes, something with more presence...I love the test tubes but the glass disappears into the wall, which makes the plants stand out, but I feel something to balance out the wooden bed would look beautiful. A circular mirror in wood or wicker, or artwork in rich earthy tones. The room looks beautiful, I love the fabric cabinet also.

This was great, I’ve literally been thinking I need more styling of my plants! I’ve just started collecting plants over the last year and most are still in nursery pots and jumbled together by the window or near or huddled under a few grow lights, I need to “grow up” my space more! This video was helpful, thank you and your space looks great!!

Great tips! I'd add that if you're 5 foot tall like me, you may want to put the plants that don't need so much watering on the top (such as snake plants, but also plants that are in water). This way is not a huge effort to water it constantly =)

Thanks Becca & Paige! Very inspirational! I have collected plants, figured out what kinds work well in my northern NV, USA home (dry, mountains give me a “winter”) which plants go with which N or S windowed rooms, Hung some plant hangers, used just about every surface for plants (except kitchen and bathrooms) so now is perfect time for the final touches, the “styling” I have put off. Ha ha, even used “outside” plant hanger stands inside - black metal foldout things, but cost is issue to replace stuff right now. You gave me some suggestions to try to make things look better, slowly I will work towards better solution.😘

Becca, when you said, "I think I'm more of an earthy-color lover, like greens, browns, oranges, that's my vibe..." I had to smile because, "HELLO! You think?" Look at the shirt and lipstick you're wearing, the shades on your eyeglasses' frame, the deep color of you nail polish, the orange scrunchie around your wrist, and how harmonious they all look with the dark brown on your hair and eyes. You HAVE found a color palette you're strongly drawn to and had not even noticed it.

Great tips! I think you have a bit too many plants 🤭 and i love plants, but less it’s more! I feel that when you have less plants, looks more elegant, more pleasant to see. I try not to get crazy and buy too many plants for the same reason, it’s hard I know! 🫣
