My husband and I did wax seals on our invitations! Please note that (in America) you do have to pay for more expensive stamps, though! The mail carriers can’t put wax seals through their machines, so they have to be handled individually by hand, which takes more time and is therefore more expensive! I thought the extra expense and effort was worth it, but anyone on a tight budget should know that in advance!

I work at the post office, and while I didn't know this, it sounds about right. The extra bulk makes it hard for the letter sorting machines to properly process it, especially since it's on the outside of the envelope, and so has to be sorted by hand. USPS is also not for profit, nor does it get any benefits from tax dollars, so postage and packaging is pretty much the only way they make money, so making things that can only be hand sorted a bit more expensive makes sense.

This is a great idea! And I have tried this once before😁 but if you do try this make sure the hot glue is just barely hot enough to work, if it is to hot then it will burn the flower and smell weird 😅 this is also why the hot glue didn’t stay totally clear and kinda turned brown. Technically all you need is the stamp. You can do wax seals with normal candles. But it's messier and doesn't give as clean of a result as actual sealing wax, whether you use beads with a spoon, or stick with glue gun. Probably better to do it with dark-coloured candles, so the soot from the wick isn't as visible

You can use seals on the invitations for your closest relatives + friends. That should knock it down to about 50 people or less. Get two stamps and one more person, and it shouldn't take more than 2 hours to finish them all
