How to Create Digital Signatures in Word - Quick and Easy Tutorial - Transparent Background

TIP: Photograph your signature standing on the opposite side of your light source (like a window) to be sure you are not casting a shadow from your phone/camera or body on your image. This will help the image to be evenly lit to ensure there is contrast between the black pen signature and white paper. The png transparency creator tool online will work best when it can separate a whiter background from your darker pen signature. Also note there are settings on the png transparency tool website underneath the tool (creator options) that allow you to adjust settings (like what color you want to make transparent and the percent match). Good luck!

Very clear video - thank you - but when I download the transparent png, the background is all black...making it almost impossible to see the signature!

Hello! Sorry to hear you are having issues. Were you able to save the image as a PNG file type? If it is saved as JPEG, it will retain the black background. Also, is this happening if you copy/paste the image, or are you inserting the PNG as an image in your document? Waw, I did not know I had to pay to be able to sign documents electronically but thank you for your video. I have a concern, though - is it wise to have a picture of your signature on your phone? What if you lose your phone? Do you delete that picture after you E-mail it to yourself? Also, is it safe to keep a file with your signature on your computer?

Just an FYI this is not a digital signature. Digital signatures are encrypted verification codes with your digital "fingerprint". This video shows how to make an e-signature or a signature annotation. Someone could just copy this image, paste it and pretend it's your signature. With a true digital signature, no one can copy it.
