hey maybe someone who understands better can help me but I followed pretty well up until the painting highlights and the glow effect, my glow im using is much more of a gray tone and it doesn't look like a light when i paint my subject's face it just looks like the paint brush effect it doesn't look like a glow. thanks!

Wow ...!! You could simply: - Add new blank transparent layer - create outer white line - create copy (duplicate layer) - change the copy layer to pink color - blur the copy layer with (pink line) using Gaussian blur effect - edit lights effect manually done!
