From what I can tell, adding the account into the "guest" group through computer management wont be something half of the people who may watch this can do as its NOT A FEATURE ON HOME EDITION of windows. I didn't see it on my Win 10 or 11 (both are on home edition). On Microsoft's help forum; one independent devs said "local users and groups" isn't available on home edition, and is available on Windows Pro, Enterprise, and Education editions.

It is available on the home edition you just have to do a run command instead. Do windows key + R then type "netplwiz" without the marks. You can now select the user properties then change their group user type to guest.

This is how to create a guest account: 1. Create a new account in settings named "Guest Account" (Accounts from the left panel then click Other Users then click new account, then click I don't have this persons sign in info, Next click Add a user without a microsoft account then follow the steps above) 2. Go to change acoount type in control panel 3. Click on the Guest Account you just made 4. Set it to standard mode 5. Close control panel 6. So now it should apper in your login screen 7. Done!

@@marlarthan8664 These steps described are basically what was done in the video (up to the point of going to computer management). By default, local created accounts are standard user and you can switch them to be admin if you want to change the user level (its the only two levels of access you get). Guest and standard user aren't the same thing by definition (and for example, in Win 11 guests cant customize display settings, etc). You can treat them as the same if you want, that's entirely up to you though. Microsoft has more info on this under their 'local accounts' learn page if you want more info. [edit]: at the time of my original post, I was too lazy to turn on my PC that had Win 11 pro to test it out, but can confirm this does work on pro, and there is a noticeable difference between a guest user and a standard user.

Please mention this is only for PRO or Enterprise, HOME EDITION will not work as they do not have local groups or users showing.

Same I am at home and I have someone visiting and I don't want them to have free access to the funtions of my computer. I have windows 11 pro and I Live alone. I also do not have local user and groups.
