Stuck. I’ve got my credentials two months ago. Now I’ve been searching KZbin searching for the best advice to start an online coaching service for people. You definitely helped me figure out what I can provide in a coaching session and ideas on how to split it up over a period of time. This was a great video, I wrote everything down. Now I’m just confused as to how I can create a monthly plan, how often should my client pay, or just one payment in full? How can I create an on going income from this from month to month?
@KristinHartjes
@KristinHartjes 5 жыл бұрын
Hey Justin. Excited about your new journey into coaching! And so glad to hear you found the video helpful! You can give your client the option to pay in full or pay monthly. You can create an ongoing income by continuing to sign new clients (you may just get more up front of have that monthly payment depending on how they pay) but bottom line you are receiving a similar amount of income. :)

I'd go back through everything you write and take out everything that isn't necessary. It's all about first getting your ideas out and then refining them so that they are easy to read and straight to the point. If you can say something with 50 words, that is what better than saying the exact same thing with 500 words. Make it easier for people to consume. :)

Hey Matt. I do really believe that all coaches need to come up with their own programs. It should be based off of what has work for you or other people you've worked with, along with what you've learned through education/training. There are so many different ways to lose weight and get healthy, not one way for everyone...thus why different programs are better for different coaches and clients.

Hi Kristin - I love your videos and what you offer BUT i notice all your references in your videos, guides and Facebook are addressed to woman - do you work with men that want to become Health coaches ? I am a stage 4 cancer survivor and have spent 3 years researching everything i can find on both conventional cancer standard treatment and natural, alternative, and more recently the metabolic approach to healing cancer based on Thomas Seyfried's decade of research together with Bruce Lipton's Epigenetics (mind - thoughts, etc) This has given me a wealth of knowledge on using a calorie restricted plant based ketogenic diet ( High Fat (good essential fats), Low carbs and balanced proteins, combined with intermittent fasting - triggering autophagy and mitophagy that recycle cells and specifically the Mitochondria. I have also looked at the whole mind-body-soul approach specific to cancer (love, caring, forgiveness, compassion, empathy, etc meditation, affirmations, etc) and spirituality in the Healing process - I see my ideal client as cancer patents or cancer care givers and i want to offer people the service of developing customised Cancer Healing Programs incorporating all of these topics in a 24 part - (weekly skype) 6 month program. BUT i need help to assist in a number of aspects that you cover. Would you work with me ? Do you think this offering has the potential to form the basis of a Cancer Healing Coaching Program ?

Hey Kristin! Thanks for the advice, it definitely helps. I have a question though. I am currently enrolled in IIN and I am half way through it. I am thinking about what my future online health coaching business should entail, however, I do not know how to conduct the different services I want to include in my programs. Should it be through handouts, talking with them everyday, etc? How should I “teach” to my further clients?
@KristinHartjes
@KristinHartjes 5 жыл бұрын
Hey Malia. This is really up to you. I would only provide whatever is absolutely necessary. The power of coaching happens through connecting with the client and speaking with them so I would make that the focus. Once you know your ideal client and the transformation you help them achieve, it becomes easier to narrow down what to include in your program and how to deliver it. There is no 'right' way to do it. I'd check out this video too: kzbin.info/www/bejne/j5jQc6mjbalrrKs Let me know if that helps! :)

Hi Kristin! Thank you for all the knowledge you’re sharing with us! I can relate to so many points that you mention. You talk about the fact that certification doesn’t guarantee success or getting clients but shouldn’t you be certified to be credible? And is there a particular program that you would recommend? Thank you so much!
@KristinHartjes
@KristinHartjes 6 жыл бұрын
Hey Zuza! People want to know that you can help them fix their problem. They don't necessarily care about your training if they believe you can help them. That being said, I highly recommend doing a coach training program if you don't feel you have the tools or knowledge to be a successful coach and work with people in that way. I don't recommend a particular program but have clients who have gone to IIN, Health Coach Institute and Inst. Psychology of eating...among others but those are the most popular.

How do you manage people that accuse you to not be a Medical Doctor and therefore meaning that you shouldn't give nutritional advise? Im starting my health coaching business, I also have a long story of research, and big personal experience with complementary medicine as a cancer survivor...but I have the impression many people are afraid of scams, or they prefer going to a "gym personal trainer" that he will give them tons of protein and definitely not make their life style a better one.... How to handle this?

Once a client has reached his/her health goals, how does the coach and/or client suggest that the client no longer needs the coaching at this point ? What would that conversation sound like ?
@KristinHartjes
@KristinHartjes 5 жыл бұрын
Hey Stella. I've really never had this happen as I always find that there is more that you could work on with the client. But if you did feel that your work was done with the client, I would just have a conversation with them about it and come to an agreement about how you wanted to end. I would just be truthful. Speak from the heart.

This is all BS. stuff a normal person would know, I want to know how you are going to get the person from Point A to Point D, do we suggest a diet, are we suppose to just tell them to eat more plants? Are we suppose to tell them to go the smoothie route? This is the nittly gritty. Some people will balk at a green diet. I would assume these people know they eat poorly and really are they going to follow your program. Literally I could coach people without a Health coach certificate. It's the actual program I want to know.
@KristinHartjes
@KristinHartjes 4 жыл бұрын
Connie this is about understanding who your ideal client is and what's going to help them. If there was one right answer to this, then there wouldn't be different health advice out there. Also understanding the difference between coaching vs just telling your client what to do.
