There looked to be the shape of a woman in that one. Love it , the possibilities are endless. On the dark one before the circles were added.

Great video again, Susan. First, I watched it to learn, and then I put it on again, so while I was gelli printing I had your voice for company in my studio. Was like working with a friend 😊 thanks heaps.

This longer video, from color picking and mixing, to playing with the colors and stencils and stamps and layers-it was really great to watch. I learned so much from watching your process. I love your attitude to the less successful pieces and clean up sheets…it is just great to watch and to listen to your voice. I think I need to sign up for your course in the New Year! Quite nice, as you say! Oh, and thanks for listening to those of us who requested you include the color mixing!

Great video 👍😍 For the asemic writing stencil & other very detailed stencils, I'm thinking you'll get a clearer ghost print if you use your fingers instead of the baren. You can get into the nooks & crannies more, if that makes sense?
@joyloveday7377
@joyloveday7377 9 ай бұрын
To clarify 😏 When you place the initial paper down to lift the paint in the negative spaces, if you use your fingers, you'll lift more paint in the nooks & crannies around the details of the stencil. This should result in a clearer print 🤞😊

I put on your video with the intention of watching while I worked on making backgrounds...I managed to pull only 2 prints because I was so engaged with what you were doing! Kudos on the color mixing--I love to mix colors! I am curious about the papers you were using??? Using both sides of the wet strength tissue was a good move...about the paint: is it "open"? I have subscribed and look forward to where this project is going! Oh, and thank you for making this video--stellar use of the stamps and stencils! I believe I am ready to use the stamps with acrylic paint! :)

Thank you Patricia 😀 I didn’t use open acrylic here. Student grade and professional heavy body paints. The papers were thin sketchbook paper, wet strength tissue and dressmaking pattern paper.

If you would use a thinner layer of paint, I believe your stencils would give you a sharper image. Otherwise quite informative!

I really don’t care too much for the writing stencil. Looks more blotchy than writing.

But the wet stencil of the writing onto a new background and brayered over it looked more like writing.👍🏻😀 I think it is really important to get all the paint out of all the crevices?

@PMartistStudio

It seems there is a misunderstanding, there is no subscription service that you describe. The membership (called Arty Perks) gives discounts on any of the products sold. The membership (Arty Perk) benefits those customers by including early bird access of some of the latest designs that are not available to others for at least 8 weeks. This really benefits customers that buy lots of stencils/stamps as the fee is often covered by the discount they receive eg on a $100 spend the fee is covered by the discount received, then the next order or the larger orders benefit even further by the discount given. The phrase Arty Perk was chosen because it is a perk to those who regularly support the shop. Then there are those who do not sign up for Arty Perks who are Arty Friends and can buy at the prices shown, but have to wait for the latest designs to become available.
