Most debit cards can be used in place of credit cards for online purchases, however we would recommend making sure your debit can do that by confirming with your bank. Hello Dennis. If you have had the domain pointed here and email running off our server you should not have to recreate any email addresses. If the email is hosted elsewhere, then you will want to make sure you recreate the email addresses here and point the MX records for your domain to HostGator's servers.

If you're getting a 404 when selecting your email box type there may be an issue with the account or box type, I believe SquirrelMail is close to being deprecated on cPanel so make sure you try either Horde or Roundcube. You can also login to your mail directly by going to (yourdomainhere).com/webmail and using your email address and password. Hello! That's a great question, the answer really depends *how* you plan to setup and manage your email. Inside your HostGator Portal, 'create email' options are the same. Once you create email or go to Email section, view POP/IMAP settings if you wish to use third-party tool for your email. Hi Mike, if you register only a domain name, it is just that, a domain. You would need to select a HostGator plan for email. If you check your mail using a third party tool (POP/IMAP) try to login directly via webmail exampledomain(.)(com)/webmail to see if you can login directly.
