This is amazing Mark! Thanks so much for the video 👍 I got it to work without any problem with your example files. This will definitely come in handy! We have situations where we need to create customized PDF reports for hundreds of clients. Seems like that task should be just as straightforward as the six reports in this example!

Yes, it should work the same with 100’s ad with 6. Though 100’s May take a little while. You can also use Power Automate to send the PDF’s as email attachments to your clients. VBA is still an option if Power Automate is too slow for your needs.

It will be great if you could take data and send them to a word document template the export that word document as pdf. The scenario as if I want to generate student certificates from excel data sheet. Thank you 🙏🏻

Why not just create a something in Excel, which looks like a certificate? Cut out Word entirely.

Thanks Mark. I think this is going to be useful for a project I'm working on. My next step will be to create another step to email out the pdf files to different people... I love a challenge!

With Power Automate it's really easy to send emails with attachment. There is an example in this presentation (already linked to the correct time stamp). kzbin.infobuQC1cBlXaw?feature=share&t=4656 I'm sure you'll be able to achieve it easily.

Great and simple content explanation! I need help on 3 tweaks I didn't find (yet...) a workaround, if you can pinpoint in the right direction: 1. Can I have a the table to process the list of PDF to be created within the same template Excel file 8diferente sheet, obviously)? My table list for PDF is constructed with formulas dependent on the data from a static Summary Sheet "reading" with formulas from a PowerQuery data table sheet and also directly from another summary sheet dynamic table); 2. Can the data to process the list update a selection cell in a dynamic table and force its sync? 3. The TEMPLATE to PDF is based on a dynamic table so the print range is not fixed... is it possible to calculate and insert in your solution the calculation and definition of a different print range for each PDF to be created? Thanks in advance for any help!

When power automate converts the file, why does it only convert the print area and not the whole sheet?
@ExcelOffTheGrid Жыл бұрын
That is the same as when Excel saves a PDF, it is only the print area. I’m guessing it’s because a PDF is intended to be a digital print out.
