I *REALLY* like the way you deliberately played out the misconceptions we would have when building this. I'm back for a refresher and see I didn't have it stretched out across the timeline! THANKS!

I am still looking into this to be honest. It is on my wish list of things for Motion for sure!

Wow man, ok, this is insanely useful. After using and marveling at 2 weeks of learning (and using) FCPX and a bit of Motion with all the crazy plugins and controls available, this is a great entry opener to how a lot of the controls can be made by using and linking already existing OSCs of provided filters. This is fantastic on so many levels for me. Thanks a lot for sharing this. Liked and subbed. I got several questions if you don’t mind... I guess I would have to go through the filters, generators and whatnot already existing in Motion first, but if you could provide some info, motionVFX plugins sometimes have a descriptive text, a slider, plus the disc warp-like controls. Can this be done too? There’s also a more complex one that can select a frame and a masking tool, I’m assuming this is really next level and more of a FxPlug job. Any thoughts?

I'm having trouble though, w Motion 5.4... slight differences where it doesn't show Publish OSC checkbox. And other thigns.. because I have what it is controlling keyframed. I'll figure it out eventually. Don't think this is covered in the manual. :(

7:43 Hit "O"? Is It right [O]? I can't hear you speak. What I hit the keyboard to Create an Adjust key Disk Warp in [Time Bar]? -

Oh a comment: Why didn't you map/link directly to the scale? Why X and Y separately if the handle scales evenly?

I'll try that... but I seem to recall it not working correctly. Thanks for the tip!

I tried this and it looks right in motion but i cant see the OCS in fcpx... also is there a way to make the control size circle not so big?
@TheEditRoom7 жыл бұрын
The control size is standard, unfortunately. There are a couple of reasons you may not be seeing the OSC. One is- make sure it matches the duration of the Motion Project. Two is, in the inspector, make sure Publish OSC box is checked. Hope that helps!

I have no idea if you're having the same issue I had which is the instructions around 7:55 but rather than selecting "o" to set the length of the disc warp on the timeline, select "Disc Warp" then set your playhead to the end of the clip and go to Mark>Mark Out. Should do the trick. Must be something with the new Motion
