This is some valuable context, Alex. Thanks for going into detail on this. You've just compressed into 20 minutes what takes most users months or even years to figure out and master when it comes to Revit modeling. Great work 👍🏾

did you make any VENT system how does it get in the project? just drag it?
@bimitupАй бұрын
I don't remember if I created a vent system on this particular video, but you can create one by duplicating the original vent system and editing (renaming, abbreviation, colors, etc.). The key is to make sure that the property called SYSTEM CLASSIFICATION is set to "Vent". Good luck =)

Hi nice video btw, how do I connect system type to pipe types so I don't have to change it everytime in properties
@bimitup Жыл бұрын
Good to hear you liked it. Revit "Fabrication" has what is called "a service", which is a combination of pipe system and pipe type (for example "domestic Water/Brazed Copper", but in general: Pipe Types and System Types are two separate things, because you can have cold water within brazed copper or welded steel, or glued CPVC, etc. But the best tip I can give you is: Select the pipe that has the system and the pipe type you like and do "create similar" =) Good luck!

Please when I do TG on my keyboard i dont see my TAGS on my Pipe Line system
@bimitup3 жыл бұрын
Make sure you associate that keystroke to the "Tag" command. In order to access all your KeyStrokes press "KS"
@bimitup3 жыл бұрын
Felix. Two things can be happening: 1. You don't have TG assigned to Tag command (hit "KS" and check). 2. You don't have tags visible in your view (Hit "VG" and make sure to turn them on) Good luck

How do you create a Steam System?
@bimitup2 ай бұрын
Good question Fraser. What I would do is create a duplicate of the Hot Water System, rename and assign new abbreviation; and, if you're calculating anything, adjust the thermodynamic properties (i.e. set the temperature and pressure based on what thermodynamic state you're working with. For example, if you are working with saturated steam you would use 220°F @ 2 psi gauge. This will give an approx. density, viscosity, etc. Not perfect, but can get you started. Good luck!
