I would like to personally thank you for all the stuff you've taught me. I'm only 17 years old and I just did a cover for a rapper who's getting ready to appear on an album with E40 and Too $hort. I haven't done any 3D work because I'm limited in resources, but I'm purchasing a PC this week more than likely tomorrow after I get home from school. Editing was always something I did for fun because I always wondered how visual effects were made and I discovered your channel when I was in the 7th grade. I've purchased all of your packs up to effects pack 3 and i plan on getting more soon because you've created opportunities for me. I do custom sneakers and the way I promote my artwork separates me from everyone else. I've mainly learned from you and film riot. THANKS MAX!!!!

I did an album cover and T-shirts for a band with the 90s AOL era Photoshop. If you had that skill back then you were at the front! Then I behaved like a young person and decided to waste time with partying. It was the dumbest mistake i've ever made. Stick with that talent if you enjoy it no matter what people say to you. I'm sure people thought the first guy to drink from a cow was insane and disgusting but now everyone does it! 😂

I havnt tried Adobe substance 3D at all so wouldn’t be able to give good thoughts, love blender and c4d tho. Element 3D definitely useful for staying in Ae for easy stuff

If you want to do element 3D part then yes it costs $90 but is very useful if you are used to after effects, this is optional tho and you can do everything in blender which is free

I’ve managed to get quite fair into this but I cannot for the life of me figure out how you got the reflection on the text? I am using blender and I’ve set the behind of the text object roughness to 0% and turned metallic to 100% but that doesn’t recreate that holographic text effect I’ve also been trying to figure out how you made the textures move and repeat in the back of the box? I don’t plan on using this for anything but I really want to learn how to do things like that, any advice I’d appreciate max :)

Hello, the text has an emissive glow texture, the slight holographic effect might just be some slight motion blur from my camera settings. The repeating textures are just keyframing the UV texture so it changes position. Its pretty easy to do that in C4D but not sure how to do it in Blender, may need to mess around in the UV tab and see if you can find and values that you can keyframe. Hope that helps !

@@MaxNovakTutorials ah thanks man, I think I actually figured out how to get a similar effect I just used the glow and a bold font and pushed it far away from the reflection and it kind of worked Though I’m definitely lost on the textures in the back still, any informative videos I could watch thanks for replying btw
