how to duplicate the texture and save as png to bring to site to make the normal map , need help ..thanks in advance
@Kev-in-design Жыл бұрын
I am not sure if you were talking about the texture from clo3d fabric library or the texture you found online... You don't need to have png file to generate maps on cpetry.github.io. you can use jpeg or even a screen shot of the texture. Once you generate the maps, you have the option at the bottom of the window to save it as PNG or JPG. If you want to duplicate a texture from clo3d. add the fabric to object browser, and go down to property editor under basic parameter, click the swatch or the 4 square symbol. Right click on the texture file to make a duplicate.

Thanks for your promp reply ...its works . i have one question now, once we use the clo fabric file as a base like you shown in your tutorial, then we add design png , and then repeat pattern of design is generated ,i faced a issue when i tried to add normal and dispalcement maps of the design , its not maching with the base design but shows at diffrent places on fabric , so when you are adding design on base fabric , should we keep the normal map of base fabric to avoid this issue Let me know Thanks ....

@@sanjay_media before adding normal and displacement maps, did you scale the size of the texture on the garment? ideally you want to have texture map, normal map and displacement upload in property editor first, then apply the fabric to your garment.

if cloth have mesh fabric, how can we do?
@Kev-in-design Жыл бұрын
If you are using mesh or lace fabrics, you need to save all three maps as PNG files before importing to clo3d.

make sure your mesh fabric has transparent background before saving as PNG file

@@Kev-in-design but i can not seperate background and fabric when fabric is mesh or lace.
@Kev-in-design Жыл бұрын
let's use lace fabric as example. On the lace fabric, you will have the cut out holes which are supposed to be transparent as the background. If you take screenshot of a lace picture online, you don't get the transparent on those cut out holes. I will use photoshop to remove those cut out areas and make them transparent and save as PNG. That way I can use it to create normal and displacement maps. IF your mesh or lace fabric has only 2 colors, when you remove background, it will usually remove the cut out areas as well. @@hahoang5513

mesh fabric can be tricky sometimes when you remove background because the mesh lines are very thin. on Connect,clo-set.com, you can find some mesh fabrics that are free to download....
