Understanding RFQs in Odoo
A Request for Quotation (RFQ) is a formal document sent to potential suppliers to request pricing and other details for goods or services. Odoo's purchase module provides a streamlined way to create and manage RFQs.
Creating a New RFQ
Navigate to the Purchase App: Go to the "Purchase" app in your Odoo dashboard.
Create a New RFQ: Click on the "Create" button.
Select Vendor: Choose the vendor you want to send the RFQ to from the dropdown menu.
Add Products:
Click "Add a product" to add items to the RFQ.
Select the product from the dropdown, specify the quantity, and adjust the unit price if needed.
Add Sections (Optional):
Click "Add a section" to create a new section for grouping products.
Give the section a name to categorize the items.
Add Notes (Optional):
Click "Add a note" to include additional information or specifications.
Set Deadlines and Other Details:
Specify the RFQ deadline, payment terms, and other relevant information.
Send RFQ: Once completed, click "Send" to send the RFQ to the selected vendor.
