@@maxsielmelo2183 I copied the layer with Ctrl+C, then I clicked on the mask with Alt+click, and finally, I pasted it with Ctrl+V. That resolved the issue for me.

Select layer which content you want to copy in the Layers panel. Ctrl + click on the layer thumbnail to select its content or if content is covering entire document use Ctrl + A. Edit > Copy. Ctrl + D to deselect. Alt + click on layer Mask. Edit > Paste.

I’m stuck at 3:35.. when I copy it and paste it to the layer mask, it creates a new layer with that result. It doesn’t just keep the linked layer, it adds a whole new one. Then if I try to add dissolve to that and change opacity, it looks nothing like yours :/

shift + f5 is the short cut to fill layer or selection, if that is not working, you can manually fill the layer or selection.

how come you choose 4000x4000? isn't that just unnecessary strain on cpu the way photoshop eats resources for doing nothing? most websites don't even let you upload higher res than 1k x 1k or 2k x 2k especially music streaming websites and distribution services which is probably mostly why alot of people want to learn this style of artwork to create album covers
