How to Sign Up for and Start Using Threads
1. Install the Threads app for Android or iOS
2. After installing and launching the app, you'll be prompted to log in with your Instagram account. If you can't find any Instagram account listed on the Threads login screen, ensure you are logged into Instagram on your current device, and then relaunch the Threads app
3. Once you've seen and selected an Instagram account to use, you'll be prompted to customize your Threads profile. Your username is imported from your Instagram account
4. You can add a bio or a custom link on your Threads profile, or you can alternatively tap the Import from Instagram button to import your profile data from Instagram
5. Up next is the privacy option screen. Here you can make your Threads profile public or private, depending on your preference. Your Threads privacy option can be different from your Instagram privacy option. Select either a Public profile or a Private profile to continue
6. On the next screen, you'll be prompted to follow the same accounts you follow on Instagram. You can either select individual accounts you wish to follow on Threads or tap Follow All to follow all the accounts you are already following on Instagram
